I do not know what YouTube videos he was looking at. I never really saw him watching gaming videos. I know he watched a lot of Joe Rogan, political videos and racing. And again, I know piss about games, gaming and game development. But I do know that I did not see him working in unreal but a handful of times.

That explains the glacially-slow pace and questionable skills observed by other developers when the demo prior to the KS demo was shown. I get learning gamedev from homebrew, FFS that seems to have been the entire of Kenshi. This was showing a movable objects demo months after switching from Unreal to Unity; translation: bad, very bad.

I was told that he had a team that included himself and two other guys. I believe a Frenchman for the music. And a German for the art. I believe they are indeed real. I do not think it’s AI because he had art and music implemented in 2020 before AI was really public.

Indeed a bit of that checks out, I do know he had some old team members for the longest of times, but my reason for asking is that I am not sure if they kept up with him or what is going on with the pipeline because communication from Corv about updates has been a mess of actual progress update. Normally in indie dev you would see artists and other asset design attached to projects put stuff on their profiles, in their art galleries, soundcloud, etc. and be part of the game's media hype because they have something to post and people to check out. This may be why the Twitter account has only 54 followers. Other crap, backer portraits, silence in 2022. It is a very dead account.

What makes me curious is what genius promotes their game on social media and uses #Ultima and #indiedev but no #CorvenRPG to follow their media?
What makes me MORE curious is why the old accounts were nuked.

I don't expect you to know or answer about any of this, I'm just musing about it because these are further details that keep throwing up red flag after red flag in context with what we now know.

I do not know exactly where the money went but I do know he purchased a computer, a racing sim setup, tv and he got into crypto.

... it still boggles my mind that after all that, HE was the one who filed for divorce. I'll admit it, I fell for his story.

I sincerely apologize for not posting in such a long time!

I don't like posting about personal matters on the internet, but I feel I owe you all an explanation.

To make a long story short: I am going through a rough, everything but straightforward, divorce. I am also in the process of moving to a different state.

I am not a fan of people throwing a pity party for themselves, but it truly has not been an easy time. And the development of Corven took a back seat as, I at least hope, most of you will understand.

By no means is Corven dead or cancelled. I simply had no choice but to take this break from development.

My move and, hopefully, the divorce will be done soon. Once I am settled in I can concentrate on Corven again. Please give me a bit more time.

This is my absolute passion project and it will never be cancelled. But again, I apologize for the silence.

I hope you all are doing great and don't have to deal with anything like this. I don't wish it on anyone.

TRUE and HONEST ending to the Ultima series

Aside from later technology requiring literal voodoo being involved making the UI/UX a bit more accessible, the Ultima story stopped at VI with the relative peace between the humans and "demons" as the conclusion of moral perspectives. Everything since was just some blaming EA despite Richard suddenly coming up with boneheaded meandering fuckery like trying to turn Ultima into Prince of Persia.

Maybe he shouldn't have alienated his ghostwriters. Speaking of which, has anyone actually read the intro to Corven and how trash it is for an Ultima game even after Richard's "mentoring"? Drunken driving hit-and-run and then stalking the victim in the hospital while evading police? Who is to identify with that, compared to the Gypsy?

• after decade+ of fucking around, three in in Unreal from 2016-2019, dude switched engines again to make a half-assed demo in Unity. Yes, this went Unreal -> Unity
• baited a KS with Lord British (who probably doesn't even remember this)
• spent years on story.txt and AI gen backers portraits
• dipped his balls into the EA shark tank by releasing a remix of Ultima VI as official game media*
• dipped them again when he basically said "Corven = UIX - Redemption" and listed Ultima game areas as places he was working on
• shared illustrious design updates, such as thanks for new gaming computer and European Vacation
• came back from developing BackerPaidVacation.exe
• coincidentally around the same time, divorced the wife in 2 months and left her/no contact for a year
• would forget what year it was and go from a November 2022 update to a June 2022 update
• in that update that forgot time, blamed a pause in all "development" on a messy divorce and having to move, when those issues are long passed
• the usual idiotic hope-and-cope KS circle-jerk who already threw money at this without looking too deeply because muh Ultima and coped about all delays for every other dodgy KS (I.E. Shroud of the Avatar) are clamoring to throw even more money at shitty milestone reporting, because why learn anything any time ever, just consume product and buy Ultima
• 6 months of moving later... is still in middle of moving - probably going to get some of the dumber to keep believing he is still moving and offering support when it's stretched out for a whole year or more
• is now getting remarried
• there is still no game
