I'm not really a fan of the light hitting shotguns you seem to like, though they are better on a shotgun obliterate build. The headhunter iconic can be fun too since it's basically a shotgun rifle that fires single slugs if you need a bit of range.

Yeah that's been my reasoning: more shots, more chances to obliterate. Very satisfying.

The Satara was my first love though, I just couldn't get enough of it when I first played the game :)

You know you can overpower her, right? But for that you need a serious investment into Body (about 20).

Myers is the president of NUSA and an ex-CEO of Militech. I bet she has access to augmentations that no money can buy.

Why do assume a street punk with some black-market purchased mods has to be stronger than her?

Hey hey if you CAN overpower her then it's ok, woe upon my V's flappy arms I guess - I just checked some walkthroughs online and couldn't find a single one with her being overpowered so assumed it was mandatory
The asian chick exposition is peak cringe still, but I will continue the expansion

I think Phantom Liberty's "writing" has been superior to the base game's so far. Some of the sequences of its main quest are excellent, too.

But what do I know? I'm just an old man.

Because the base game is consistent in its presentation, civilians arent a match for a decked and modded out merc(no matter their statuts) - they have bodyguards for that. I mean you can start the expansion at any time post vdb's right? Imagine taking on Oda and then next thing V is getting leveled like a rookie by a female civilian, nevermind overpowering her if V have max reflexes he shouldn't even be caught off guard by something like that

I didn't enjoy the story of Phantom Liberty particularly much (or, much more so, I really disliked the characters I should say) and I hated that whole opening sequence. But the expansion DOES get better than that, so I'd keep on trucking through that at least.

I don't think the story ever got particularly engaging but I'd say the entire introductory sequence, as well as the ending sequence (will probably depend on which endgame you get depending on choice you make), were easily the worst parts for me. Once the main area opens up a bit it gets more fun.

As I told you, Meyers is not a civilian. Militech CEOs usually have military experience it its very own corporate army. The way she handled the rifle and fought the Chimera proves she's pretty competent in this regard.

Plus, as a former Militech CEO and President of NUSA she has access to state of the art mods. Things you won't buy with any money. We don't know what she's packing under the hood. But we do know NUSA and Militech have superior tech (as they are the only faction that is able to cure V 100% from his Relic affliction, though with some side effects).

Glad if that's the case

I don't remember a single time in the base game where V gets owned in such a silly way, it looked out of place, the fact that it happened at the hand of le wyman president (I also dumped all the spare points in STR(up to 14) and replayed) triggered me instantly and thus considering the state of nuMedia I drew conclusions right away
alas

So can you get any tactical outfits in this game, like something out of Ghost in the Shell or Appleseed?

Don't drop the best content in CP77 because of something like that. In case you didn't notice, base game is woke as well. It's kinda more palatable because of the dystopian future setting (as opposed to a medieval fantasy setting for example) but it's there.

afaik v doesnt know kung fu

Sure, but a high enough Strength or Agility score should indicate a level of hand to hand combat proficiency that would prevent getting punked like that, and that's before augmentations are taken into consideration.

It's an awkward scene that really should have had a stat check associated with it, and the only reason it doesn't is because it would reveal what a lousy idea it is to go against the Claws - something the quest validates with both possible endings anyway, IIRC.

I was caught off guard by the cringy dialogs of that asian chick(they geniunly gave me Kai Leng vibes) and the whole silly exposition of the intro mission, went in blind so after a while was fully expecting her to be the new voice in the head for the duration of the expansion, since it was a major dissapointment coupled with ANOTHER WAVE encounter design I just had to sperg online. No more blog posts from me until I finish it

Yeah I'd agree with that, I mean of all stronk wombyn characters you'd expect a president and former CEO of one of the two top gear manufacturing companies in the world to have off the charts cyberware, like Six Million Dollar Man shit (i.e. looking normal but super augmented). For me, it's fitting and doesn't jar in the way that super-duper stronk wombyn characters usually do in games.

Just finished Phantom Liberty and I'm very impressed with its storytelling. Totally worth the full price IMO. And the whole story gains much more depth after you see the multiple endings. The final stretch of the DLC, the Black Sapphire, Stadium, and Spaceport were leagues above anything I've experienced in the base game. Now the only thing left in my playthrough is to meet Hanako and see what my V's future looks like.

Outside of Songbird's ending of Phantom Liberty does anything ever happen in Night City's starport? It seems such an interesting location, I once went there to explore, but there seems to be no content there. No quests, no shops save for 1 farmacy, you can't even grab a gun and make a shootout there. And if you jump from the highway leading to the starport to the outside platforms of the spaceport and proceed along them, the game just randomly kills V.
