Went to vic to install new cyberware... and he only had small amount of white stuff. I assume that this is now tied to street cred like before but it won't show up if you don't have enough street cred.
Yeah, better quality and new types of cyberware available scale with your level or street cred. I think it is with level because the tier available is similar to the tier that on average drops from enemies.

Street cred probably unlocks new types for purchase, like arms, optical camo or the charge-jumping legs.
You can also upgrade stuff, including cyberware at the ripper docs. I haven't been selling anything because I find components to be more valuable than cash for the moment.

Bsically as soon as you preset the protagonist, it's not really a "true" RPG in my mind, whatever its other merits.
I'll probably regret asking this, but how defined does the preset protagonist have to be before you experience it as disqualifying the game as an RPG? To take a very old example, Ultima IV requires you to play as the Avatar. It also requires you to play in a manner consistent with the Virtues if you want to progress in the game. So preset protagonist, restricted play style choice - but many consider it one of the all-time classic old-school RPGs.
That's an interesting question. Ultimas before VII at least weren't all that story driven or narrative. Yes, you were the avatar from 4 on, but like... so? He basically doesn't speak or do anything other than what you tell him to do. I mean, Name/Job/Bye doesn't really force a cognitive dissonance.
I forgot to add that also, Ultima IV makes it explicitly clear that the Avatar is you (the player). Between the feelies in the box, the lore book that you also find in game and the intro tells you to read, the tarot reading at the gypsy cart to determine which virtue you most personify on starting. Brilliant story telling, really.

I don't think a preset protagonist disqualify a game from being an RPG, but the game must have systems and a branching storyline where the player can express their roleplay. Like already mentioned PST

When your game basically ends in the same point with every quest and not just the main quest its hard to say its an RPG. But credit given where is due, with the new perk system your character has some semblance of identity so it approached the RPG genre with this change, but with very few exceptions most of the gigs will end up in that same result.

Maelstrom E3 quest where you get the bot, of course the result of getting the militech robot is the same due to the MQ being attached to it but at least there is results you feel in the game depending of your choices. You can double cross the militech chick and get her killed, you can simply not even interact with her (she will still end dead), kill the Maelstrom by yourself, strike a deal with them etc. And that shit you will see in game

There is a gig where you can either negotiate with a cop chick to drop the investigation or just paint the walls red, thats cool allows to express a more benevolent merc or a guy that is so dead inside that will just follow the script.

Also one gig where father and son are recording and editing illegal BDs with dead people material and you can choose to just pick the data and fuck off, kill both of them or decide to pick one kill and let the other cry in misery with the brutal murder as some sick sense of justice.

But this is 3 quests out of many that end the same sadly.

The jobs and missions in CP2077 have a lot more reactivity than most of you guys think.

CP2077 does share the same issue that all classless rpgs share, which is that the world only minimally reacts to your character choices. Other than your lifepath (which is used quite often) and some small attribute checks, there's not much the game can react to. Since the game is voiced, it's just too much work for the game to have "dumb V", "average V" and "genius V" voice line sets. And wouldn't make much sense since you can increase INT progressively throughout the game, among other issues.

BDs are still the worst mechanics in the game.
Reeks of some idea guy meeting feces. HEY GUYS IMAGINE IF VR THAT MOMENT FOR CSI.
WOW INTERACTION GAMEPLAY LMAO.

Nigga just let the junior or the mox lesbo make a report of the BD and let me do the mission that matters.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath

If that was the level of reactivity ("reactivity") that the rest of the game had, it would have been comparable to Witcher 3 and there wouldn't be mainstream doubt whether it's an RPG or no. Note I say "mainstream doubt".

Night City is still a giant boring failure with nothing to do. 10 miles wide, 1 inch deep.
Judging by the Nexus, the average CP77 player just uses it as dress-up simulator for their scifi waifus.
Best way to play the game. Other than driving around and making screenshots.
Too bad the map doesn't open up before the heist. Without that you never had to meet Keanu at all.

bds would be excellent if they let you do your own thing and have consequences of rushed investigation
like, you didnt scan all the security sensors and whatnot, now you'll have to deal with 10 more guys or some simple shit like that
didnt listen in to some convo, now you dont know where the security card is
fucking poles, it's not like they werent able to do it
missed opportunity like 100 other things in this game

BDs are horrible busywork and filler, skill checks within them opening alternative routes might have helped, but as it is they're another brainless cinematic/immersive set piece that you can't skip, in a game that has too many of those in the main quest.

Play Shadowrun if you want a feelgood ending.
lol, which one?
The 3 games from Hairbrained Schemes. Also all Shadowrun books i've read have good endings. Looks like if i want my entertainment to leave me satisfied Shadowrun is the superior choice.
which ending is supposed to be feelgood? I remember either bad or gray at best ones

seperate topic

Is this game worth playing? if i didnt like Witcher 3?
Ok what aspects of W3 you hated?
I am not sure if I'm correct it was a while when i played w3 but i think i attacked a monster that was much higher level than me and i could easily dodge all of it attacks but i didnt do almost any DMG because he had higher level than me and that was retarded for me that i could run around for 10 minutes break a sword and during this time i barely chipped his hp so i had to go back do something else and level up dunno if that how this worked it broke my immersion I'm already pro Witcher in third game but i need to meta game i kill some bozos before i can approach higher level enemy.

I thought 2.0 introduced issues for me as game would crash occasionally and i would get some weird slowdowns.
Turns out my gpu(3090) vram was overheating. 110c at VRM and card was throttling to high heavens as it only consumed 200W instead of 350W.
Card was loud as fuck too with fans weirdly firing up out of nowhere to 80-90% for few seconds before slowing down again.

So i cleaned card up, replaced all thermopads, applied new performance paste and voila.
core temp. went from 80 to 70, VRM temp went from 110 to 76 and now card is eating properly 350W and it is quiet as hell.

Problems, crashing etc. is also completely gone.

Genesis Silicon 850 cheap as fuck, 14W cooling power. For comparison Grizzly Hydronaut is like 15W and costs 3 times as much.

lol, you can go to under 1s for knife to return(without perks)
there is mod that removed gravity, so knives fly in straight line(which makes hitting harder, as normally knives are weird homing misiles)
