All those cover modifiers...

I was talking more in the sense of popamole health regen and more importantly twitch-based combat performance rather than stat-based one. I know how cover in FNFF works, considering all the research on gunfights Pondsmith and the team did for the ruleset. What I hope for is that the difficulty settings will vary by how close to the tabletop FNFF rules the gunfights are. I want NPCs and the PC going into shock from blood loss damn it!

What a shitty trailer. There's a reason I don't go to the movie theaters often and trailers like that is one of them. That and the annoying vibrating sound quality and the excessive focus on digital effects instead of fucking acting. Way to ruin my quietly optimistic hype.

Pretentious or not, it's still better then the original - not only is it a completely forgettable generic song that I wouldn't bother listening twice to, it doesn't fit with the theme at all.

This.

I'd also point out the queer pretensiousness associated with the over-excessive use of slow motion and the *golden dust* sprinkling from cyberchick's face a la skin care or shampoo ad... If there are any fans of this kind of *sophisticated visual effects* over here, they can find much more cyberpunk glitter in HERE.

Now, the Arnie T2 video posted above is a perfect example of a teaser well-made. Well scripted, directed and non-pretensious. It's a sad thing that 2 decades later game devs and film directors are all about showing off CGI team skills than directing or writing skills. And people fail to see the emperor has no clothes.

Speaking of clothes, CD Projekt's teaser protagonist, a Dying Cyberchick With Blood On Her Panties is just... A LITTLE bit too EMOtional.

People here already posted quite a lot of decent music which makes this Archive piece sound even worse in comparison. But almost nobody edited video, which is megaubershitty.

In the other Cyberpunk thread fellow codexian Bony proposed his verison of teaser, with both audio and video edited. It's properly cyberpunkish and makes CD Projekt's original look like Sailor Moon. Now, CD Potatos, watch and learn!

Watched it again, I really like it. Only thing I dislike is that this killer-psycho bitch apparently gets killed. Looks kinda cool in the trailer.

Snagged some nice looking (IMO) screencap.

Trailer is already making Internetz Puritan feminazi brigade foaming so I can forgive music not being this:

Somebody blessed by Omnisiash mix this in.

I tried but the result was a hack job unworthy of the Omnisiash. That's even ignoring the fact that the pacing of the music you pciked is simply wrong for the flow of the animation (although the pacing overall is too schizophrenic in the trailer which is a result of the track used, see below). The only option left was to enact exterminatus on the unsaved video file and close the video editor sending the data into digital oblivion.

The more I watch this trailer the more flaws I see in it from a video making point of view. I mean sure, the imagery tries to match the lyrics but it's like they focused on that at all costs and the rest suffers because of it. They wanted bullet-time slow-mo and at the same time they wanted a somewhat fast paced song (too fast for the slow-mo). At some point they realized "hey this doesn't work, how can we add some pace to it without getting rid of the slow-mo?" so they added the rapid cuts with jumps, like when the close up on the firing Psycho Squad Cop's gun is shown with the bullet's case flying away. Which in some places kind of matches the music, but in other it doesn't and overall well it just seem schizophrenic really. Bleh, I'm not watching this again, screw that.

According to those assholes and their Interview with CDPR it's supposed to be used as a "target render" for the final game: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/10/cyberpunk-2077-cd-projekt-reds-open-world-sci-fi-epic

Seeing as it's likely to come out Mid/Late 2015 at the earliest that might even be possible, they certainly did a great job with Witcher 2 only using DirectX9 as it is one of the best looking games out there.

The style kind of reminded me of the Samaritan Demo, which was in-engine real time at the GDC almost 2 years ago:

Looking gut! :)

Here's the original band/song/video btw. I really like it.

I don't like the headgear of the "hero" or whatever this is in the video.

The headgear is great because it's not stereotypically badass.

HAHAHAHAHAAH, that is hideous.

?

It looks exactly stereotypically badass to me 's why I hate the design on this.

Are you from Europe or something?

I can't think of a first-world country in which that's people's idea of cool modern technology.

Hero looks too much like Cleaner from Max Payne, shame cause Cops looks grim dark enough, with their high powered military assault riffles, face masks, combat armor and lack of any identification. He need more sinister black, gass mask and sinister RED targeting lazors. :troll:
