I honestly don't think I'd even play a PC version of Bloodborne if it was a remaster by Bluepoint unless they used all the same assets and gameplay and just upped the resolution and FPS. Fuck that soulless garbage they did to Demons Souls. Have you guys seen the concept art for that remaster? It's fucking terrible.
Bluepoint ruined Shadows of the Colossus too.

Them giving it to Bluepoint (which they will, because they're fucking retarded) just gives me reason to not give them money, I guess. What's so juicy and righteous is that we're able to emulate the shit now and it's only getting better. Fuck Sony, fuck their garbage console, and fuck them for holding a good game hostage like they have. Terrible company.

They just had to rerelease Bloodborne in PS5 with good framerate and better resolution, and in PC, and they would print money without wasting almost any, and everyone would be happy. Win-win scenario.

Now we are getting WokeBorne remake. :codexisforindividualswithgenderidentityissues:

Thank God for emulation.

How are bloodtinge builds? Hearing that I should suffer early and put everything into BT and vit and rush Cainhurst or start off with some skill. I'd like to use chikage, simon's bowblade and maybe bloodletter once Im into the dlc. I read bloodletter and chikage are str and skill weapons but arent they pure BT in tricked mode?

Exceedingly strong and have unique gimmicks (bosses and foes cannot deal with bowblade's range, there are several bullshit cursed chalice bosses that become pathetically easy because of it, madaras whistle is a solid aoe attack that murders swarms of rats and lesser foes and deals ARC damage), but take a while to get rolling because of the shit accessibility issues. If you're playing on emulator, and it's not your first run, just use bloodborne enhanced to give yourself one out of 3 bloodtinge weapons from the start. If it's your first run, i wouldn't advise it, not pure bloodtinge at least. Otherwise yeah, grab saw spear and rush to Cainhurst.

Yes, normal mode for chikage and bowblade scales exclusively with SKL, but normal Chikage moveset is honestly solid, especially the far reaching R2 poke. Bowblade's curved sword moveset is not bad either, and the weapon has a cheeky bow mode l2 into trick attack combo that stuns most smaller enemies and then delivers solid damage. So i advise going for 25SKL once you reach 50 50 in vitality and bloodtinge, or start off with 25SKL and 50VIT and treat bloodtinge portion of your build as a late bloomer i guess.

Bloodletter is interesting. Yes, the tricked mode is great, but i think the untricked mace moveset is underrated. It purely scales with STR and has absolutely crushing damage modifiers and by far the best mace moveset they ever did. The charged R2 reaches silly damage with high STR. Together with the fact miniguns and cannons need like 28-30STR to be usable, it just begs for a STR/BLT hybrid who can still use chikage and bowblade mode effectively. I did 50VIT/STR/BLT run at one point and found it hilariously overpowered. Minigun on a BLT build is fantastic for dealing with smaller enemies since it permastuns them.

Then there are guns. Bone marrow ash gives you 10 shots with retarded burst damage. Evelyn is the best all-rounder pistol. Repeating Pistol has the best synergy with boner marrow ash but it murders your bullet supply (still the strongest firearm option in terms of pure DPS). Piercing Rifle is almost as strong as Evelyn but it also pierces foes so a single bone marrow ash shot can potentially kill a crowd, but in return it's a bit slower in terms of shot recovery.

Don't forget the Church Cannon (DLC, mobbing, takes 10 bullets), and the normal Cannon (basegame, bossing, takes 12 bullets). Although both are just fine meeting the minimum STR requirement to wield them. Bone Marrow Ash with a direct shot to the head helps with some of the more annoying Chalice bosses like Defiled Amygdala.

They should rename the emulator to ChadPS4
Shad is not a very... marketable term...

5 more years? Might not even be five more months.
At this rate
2 more weeks :-D
ChudPS4?

I would say its just about ready now. I have played through the whole of Yarnham at 1440p without any crashes, 1080p looks terrible on my 4k TV. 4k is not playable at the moment (for me), textures don't render and I get blank floors and ceilings etc. (also around 25 FPS)

I'm probably CPU bound for FPS (and possible 4k viability), have a 3090 paired with a 9600k CPU, even with that CPU I get 40-60 FPS at 1440p when running the 60 FPS mod. It dips wildly and often though, so it's unplayable with the 60fps mod for me. I refuse to use any of the mods that degrade or remove graphics to gain FPS, I just removed the 60FPS mod and used the 30 FPS Smoothed Frames mod and it is perfectly playable and beautiful. I also have a Reshade including TAA that removes the worst of the aliasing, which is really, really bad in Bloodborne. If anyone has played Metaphor on PC, Bloodborne is near that level of bad for specular aliasing.

I got myself a 7800x3d for Christmas, looking forward to installing that when my RAM arrives at the weekend, should be a big bump in performance for this emulation, and most other use cases I think.

I think I'll have to buy a copy of the GOTY edition though. As I haven't managed to find an .ISO online...
PMd you with a link
Can you send me it also, please? I have the original disc, but I don´t have blu ray unit in my pc.
Done. BTW, the packages are separate rar files, you need to select all then extract all, they are then extracted as a single package. Extract the main game and 1.09 update separately though.

Which version is better for compatibility and modding in general? EUR GOTY edition (CUSA03173) or USA Complete Edition Bundle (CUSA00900)?

As far as I know either one, as long as you're able to update them to v1.09.

Updated my GPU and RAM, the latest version of the emulator now runs Bloodborne flawlessly (though 60fps seem to glitch in cutscenes for some reason). All of the graphics, including particle effects, all audio and music, all works perfectly without any mods.
Bloodborne is finally home (the only thing to fix is vertex explosion, mods that fix it just remove the ability to customize your character's face which is very unfortunate)

Man, I don't know if it just me getting older, or me refusing to adapt to BB tactics, but this game IS HARD.

Blood-Starved-Beast absolutely kicked my shit in (the aoe poison build up in his last phase during every attack is just nasty), and the dual wielding scimitar boss in one of the Chalice dungeons is currently making me ... very angry. Yes, I know that I should just pistol-parry him, but surely there must be a way to fight him without parries?

Keeper of the Old Lords or Pthumerian Descendant? Though they are both motherfuck to kill.

I find it less hard after Elden Ring, funny enough. But you have to adapt to Bloodborne's flavour of combat, Dark Souls and Elden Ring is slightly different and habits from those games can harm. But ER's crazy-ass bosses made Bloodborne's bosses look meek in comparison

Really? I'm assuming at 720p though. My main problems right now are higher resolution is a no go, fps tanks in higher resolution, dark areas are absurdly dark, and character geometry tends to bug out. I want to play Bloodborne in 1080p. Is this my main problem?
