Who knows what they do in private. Maybe he is fucking him.

Anyway, I wouldn't have started with Dire Maul, but I guess it isn't surprising.

Hit level 19 after 6 hours on day 1. Have been fucking around for 8 hours today, found a nice raid. We hit RFK, RFD, WC entrances, found the 3 horsemen, etc. But after all of that, there's no much to do.

Biggest shame is that WSG doesn't work. Would've been mighty fun.
Minor shames: fishing can't be learnt, cooking can't be leveled up (boars are in Durotar).
And the stupidest thing of all: can't trade if you don't have an active BFA subscription.

But otherwise, it's been 10 years since I played for 8+ hours in one sitting, without even noticing time fly by.

Pretty sad that the only exciting news from Blizzcon is about two remakes. Atleast the Diablo shitstorm gave plenty of laughs (and a large indication of where Blizzard is heading).

Quick reminder of who the enemy is, part two:

The retard who wrote the article is the reason WoW became so shit. Highlights one of the main reasons modern MMOs are garbage in the first sentence -- everything is exactly the fucking same except with different meshes(pets all doing the same thing no matter what pet it is.) MMOs have essentially become first person shooters in terms of customization and variety.
And this shit impacted every facet of the game: we went from having multiple stats that each affected your character in different ways with various breakpoints etc., to having 1-2 stats that mattered total. Figuring out if a piece of gear that is higher level than what you have equipped is actually an upgrade was too hard for timmy the safety scissors user -- solution: Just make everything the same except higher level items have bigger numbers! No more worrying if raw AP is better than agility at your current crit chance, no more worrying if you have enough armor penetration, no more worrying if you'll drop below a haste breakpoint.
Wow timmy, you picked a paladin and are upset that you can't do the same damage as a rogue? Well, lets just make all the specs that perform a role exactly identical except with different animations so the game is playable for paste eaters. Utility classes were simply too hard to grasp for paste eaters, we should be able to pick any class at random and do exactly the same thing because this is call of duty: azeroth.

:argh::argh:

I don't understand why anyone would want to play classic WoW in 2019..
Gameplay is shit
Story is shit
Community is a bunch of annoying pricks
You spend half your time walking and half your time auto attacking boars

I mean I see why people go back and play some old classics but WoW has no redeeming qualities. It's literally designed to waste your time in the most boring way possible and in 2019 there's an endless amount of games that are better for that.

Classic today won't work because the community is shit. You can't build a time machine to 2004.

I look at all these VLOGgers discovering in surprise that WoW classic was in every way a deeper, more rewarding, more customizable, more fun game, which actually was an MMO, unlike current WoW-empty-level-scaled-world-which-is-really-a-dungeon-lobby-plus-a-facebook-game-for-fucking-retards. It's amazing to watch as it slowly dawns on them that WoW Classic is in every way an upgrade and a tremendous incline over current state of WoW.

Those who think WoW was a slow grind, are level-maxing retards who miss the entire point of playing an MMO. WoW used to be FUN in its core gameplay loop. And it still is, on the couple of healthy populated vanilla server that remain.

I played a decent amount on a classic WoW server (I think I stopped playing at level 30 or so?) and the community on there was great. Classic WoW gives great incentive to befriend other people since there is no auto-queue or dungeon finder to help you find a party at the click of a button. I made friends through partying up for quests, PvPing or dungeons and these people rarely turned down an invite to a dungeon. I've even had people make unsolicited offers to make me armor/help me with quests I missed.

I've played plenty of games with toxic communities but Classic WoW is among one of the better ones I've played with. I can't guarantee that will continue to be true once official classic servers go live, however. I'd imagine that people who are interested in playing classic tend to be older on average, and are therefore more mature. When you have a job/relationship/other hobbies, you can't really afford the time to throw your enjoyment in jeopardy by acting like a raging cunt.

They also can't afford the time to spend 40 minutes manually looking for a group, 40 minutes walking to a dungeon, 30 minutes killing trash to get to a dungeon entrance, and 2 hours slogging their way through gnomeregan

The classic server I played on had 5k people during off peak hours. You have some perception of WoW that you're pulling out of your ass. It never took more than 10 minutes to get a full party unless the dungeon was in a hot area with enemy factions nearby. And in those cases, I had already made friends at that point and they were happy to drop whatever they had to do the dungeon with us, which included clearing the area of Horde players.

If you only have half an hour a day to play WoW, you do something small. Clear some mobs, do a quest, fish. Make your own fun. Save dungeons for weekends or whenever you're free. People with less time on their hands tend to have the self control to not start a potentially 3 hr long activity, or find a way to fit in into their schedule. If they can't, they have to deal with the consequences of their poor time management, or just don't subscribe at all.

This is kind of sad that I have to explain this. Don't you have friends that you plan activities with? It's not hard to translate that commitment to a video game. It shouldn't be rocket science.

Hey man, I'm glad you've found something you like. Hope it ends up being everything you're after

Those that prefer the original know there are always some Warhammer games around. It's no secret Warcraft is nothing but anime Warhammer.
