"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Better, than the test site, blander than the past.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I'm surprised that I appear to be in such a minority about the fixed width thing. I absolutely hate reading text that fills the width of the screen, and much prefer the narrower column. It's great that the fixed-width option will be preserved.

There will be always whiners with every change, as with every change, people get comfortable and then someone ruin it. But the good news is, that whiners will eventually get accustomed with the new layout and design and the strong feelings will pass away.

May I suggest that the Codex recruit Resetera mods to join the forum staff?

If too many people are complaining about the redesign/upgrade, those guys will know how to get the users in order and crush dissent.

Most of the complaints have no substance other than "I HATE CHANGE" or "CHANGE IT BACK". That's not helpful in any way, if anything, it makes all of us trying to do things here less inclined to make any further changes, because pretty much all of them are met with derision.
How does that make sense? It's a simple feedback which basically tells "if keeping the old version is no longer an option then at least make the user experience as close as possible to the old one".

Guys, with every minute that passes we approach that critical threshold after which, even if the old style returns, we will think there's something off about it... :negative:

Would it be possible to have more of a visual difference between threads with new messages and those without?
I can tell that the ones with new messages are in bold, but the difference could stand to be bigger.
(or underlining them, I don't know)
