Best RPG for a crippled retard?

Someone I know is bedridden and reads a lot but hasn't played any video games. Is there an easy and accessible RPG for someone with a lot of time on their hands and limited motor function? Preferably turn-based, story-driven, fantasy theme, low difficulty, and sold on GOG. inb4 Temple of Elemental Evil

PS:T's AD&D ruleset would probably be too complicated even though the combat is optional. Plus it is easy to get lost or fuck up your save.

I was unironically thinking Numenera but I only own it on Steam and to rebuy it on GOG would be like $40 LMAO

Neverwinter Nights and many of the top Hall of Fame free user-made modules over the years should do you good. No experience with D&D or PnP is required, though many are based on classic TSR releases. I bought a Steam key for NWN:EE for like $2 on one of the discount CD-key sites.

Didn't think of NWN, good suggestion.

Apparently I owned all the NWNs on GOG in addition to having physical copies. Am I autistic? :hmmm:

If you're willing to go JRPG, maybe Trails in the Sky? Turn based, story driven, can be set to low difficulty, sold on GOG. The setting is more 'fantasy entering a magitech revolution' and gets more technological as the series advances. On the plus side, if this person gets into it there are a lot of sequels, so they won't run out any time soon.

Baby's first rpg:

Short at 8 hours, easy for beginners (the worlds are tiny and you can fly around nimbly, making fetch quests trivial which is important as you might aswell get your friend used to fedex missions) and actually does have some charm and uniqueness to it.

And get this, it's a spiders game that is NOT janky.

Pretty much any Bioware game. They just won't fit turn based but most of their rounds systems are so long it shouldn't matter.

Whether or not it's an RPG is a subject of heated debate, but Disco Elysium seems like an easy choice, except for not being fantasy-themed.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone at all ever use the hotkeys while playing the IE games - Baldur's Gate series, Icewind Dale series, PST - so it has to be up there in terms of playing with nothing but a mouse and a left click.

I actually think he might like the Legend of Grimrock games. Perfect for casual, don't have to learn a lot, but they're not turn-based.

Personally, I think casual adventure games like Ace Attorney are best suited for people new to video games as a whole. Maybe Heroine's Quest or even some of the original Quest for Glory games would be good picks.
