Thanks Chef! I'm definitely going for that Vidcon Pack now!

Wasn't much of a bump from the latest stretch goals, unfortunately. Still haven't hit new game plus!

Maybe if the codex had made a news article about it like we seemed to get daily for far inferior kickstarters, it would've helped

I wish they woudl reach at least 120k, so far all the arts in the game are amazing, I would certainly like to them going wild on the animated cutscenes.

Yeah, more interviews/news posts/reddit sessions would definitely help. I get the feeling from the past post that cboyardee is working on some things.

We did get quite a bump since the last update actually. Before that, we were making about $1000-$1200 a day whereas after the update it was $2500 in the first few hours and then about $1500 each day after. We'll be doing some reddit thing tomorrow and we've done a few interviews since + we are working on something!

those corporate out-of-touch faggots aren't answering my question. success has gotten to their heads. they're probably talking about an EA merger this second.

oh wait they just answered. bunch of try-hard "oh we so indie look at this fucking community interaction" fags.

Left an obligatory faggotass remark for that Zaydene guy.
:codexisfor:
Man.

It was so hard not to respond to that guy with "eat my shit." These questions have been pretty thoughtful though. I don't think there's been anything asked that hasn't already been answered here, but the questions have generally been pretty good. I really don't know anything about Reddit. Apparently I posted it in the wrong forum but who knows.

oh yeah

and this is the only time i will ever post a list of my favorite games. that is seriously the hardest question.

Oh lastly -

bort, the other lead designer, and I did a podcast with selectbutton about Barkley 2 and Akitoshi Kawazu, who is this crazy Japanese developer who makes these open-world RPGs with weird mechanics. The Barkley stuff is in the beginning if you feel like skipping the Kawazu stuff and it's pretty long, but I think it's pretty interesting if you want to know about some of the Eastern games that have really influenced Barkley 2.

Most important thing from the AMA is that you've been talking about licensing the Space Jam theme.

Absolutely, people eat that shit up. It'll generate a lot of interest. Really glad this campaign has been so successful for you guys.

Chef's response to that troll was an amazing :incline: and veterans like Jay Wilson could definitely learn a thing or two from him about how to deal with BS.

I was trying to come up with a question noncodexers would have liked, but I kept drawing blanks. I still blame that cable guy though. It probably sounds like a bad joke, but my earlier post about that and the cheese sauce really happened. Instead of saying "Git-r-done", he kept saying "Only in America" and the camera guy kept begging everyone to cheer as if they actually thought Larry was funny. Would have made a fucking awesome vidcon though, lol. I seriously forgot Chef had that "git-r-done" video on youtube, and the whole thing nearly Prospered my head when I remembered.

cboyardee, have you considered contacting gamesmasterjasper and getting him to do a special on this? Could be a great way to pull in all of us Semper Gamers who are still fighting the good fight out there.

Top 10 juiced up coaches AND the top 10 juiced up players!

Why aren't you guys putting out updates and pushing for more money? I know you're well over your goal but I think you could have received a lot more.

Well, we don't want to saturate peoples' mailboxes with updates like a bunch of other Kickstarters did. That's just obnoxious. Also, we were going to post an update yesterday but we all got sick at the same time. We've got more updates planned, we don't need to milk the universe for all its worth. Capitalism doesn't need to be completely repulsive.

I see a very sad Kurt Cobainish ending for Chef, but at least we'll get some damn good games til then.

:salute:Much appreciated, and refreshing. Though as a backer I can say that I don't mind a little spam if it helps you guys out in the end. Actually, you guys might be the first project I backed that didn't send me any superfluous updates.

I'm talking to the dudes right now and even though we're all over the place for Christmas right now, we'll probably all be back in the DC area for the last day and we can do some live streaming show. I have no idea why people would actually want this, but it's been requested a million times so we're seriously considering it. People really want to see us in a dank ass basement for some reason.

Is this dank ass basement anything like Cleve's bunker?
