A guide "How to avoid all romances" could be bery useful and appreciated.
Stay away from all wildlife.
There is not a single instance in the EA i can tell. Where i accidently romanced someone. So don't worry guys those of you not interested on that will not stumble on it.

Kem0sabe, you should have waited until the game is actually released before posting this thread. It's only going to get filled with off-topic shit until then, and likely even after.

It’s already justified its existence with Saravan’s very useful link. The link is missing a lot of info though, like the changes to bardic inspiration.

Yeah new info is moving fast so I don’t know how up to date everything is there.

I’m baffled however that they didn’t include precision attack for battlemaster. Among other things ofc like the change on bonus action for spells.

So if a caster other than Warlock take Magic Initiate: Warlock, does he get the upgraded version of eldrich blast later on (not agonizing, just x2 one)?

I read comments that Warlock cantrips are the only ones that scale with class level and not character levels.

Balancing reasons it seems. Eldritch blast is claimed to be the single best cantrip in the game. Otherwise everyone would take this feat or Warlock dips.

True, can you delete or archive the thread and restore it at release?

Eldritch Blast scales with charisma if you pick the corresponding perk. And with metamagic, you can quicken it to a bonus action.
But then again, as a warlock you really are mostly going to be using that one ability, and maybe misty step and some sort of darkness or whatever.

You should be getting the extra beams at 5th and 11th level if Larian has implemented the spell correctly. But without agonizing blast the damage isn't any better than the Fire Bolt cantrip, just spread over more attacks.

Larian released a CYOA game in YouTube to promote BG3, called Blood in Baldur's Gate. It follows a serial murderer in 1477.
According to official lore, Bhaal returned to existence in 1482, after all the spawn died and his essence was released, so he recombined himself into some sort of being (not actual divine), and reclaimed the murder domain from Cyric.
Baldur's Gate 3 takes place in 1492 and there is the Dark Urge character, who has an innate instinct to murder, and in the trailer was seen standing over a Bhaal symbol.

Thoughts?
Is it a surviving Bhaalspawn? How did Bhaal reconstitute then?
Is it CHARNAME, somehow surviving or reborn?
Is it some weapon Bhaal sent out to do his bidding?
Is it Bhaal himself, as an avatar or as a semi-divine being? And got amnesia due to the brainworm? Would be weird, since you can pick to be cleric of Bhaal, and be a cleric to yourself.

4chan has this theory:
Anon, the Absolute is the Dead Three merging into a singular God, but Bhaal has a trump card, granting some of his power to a rando who will kill the other two for him before their merging is complete.
The Absolute is some new divine entity that the evil side of the Early Access chapter worships.

Further, the symbols of The Dead Three (Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul) are a hand, a skull and a triangle.
The symbol of The Absolute, whom you see worshipped in Chapter 1, is a combination of those.

Wouldn't a warlock dark urge be too much of a schizo?

You would literally have 3 entities in your head: Tadpole, Patron and Tophat goblin

According to "Descent to Avernus" set shortly before BG3 Dead Three is still alive, but have less power and walk along mortals. Dark Urge could be Bhaal himself.

Would explain why he has he has an impish butler, just like you-know-who.

From the same reason I don't believe that 4chan theory is correct. But Absolute symbol is quite similar to Bhaal. God has split?

There is a german interview with Swen himself claiming the dark urge character can attain literal divinity/godhood.

So maybe not bhaalspawn but certainly something tematically similar. Seems like an origin they devised for actual continuation of the original saga.

Well, I guess that's what I'm playing.
Swen said you can turn that ship around, repress the urge, become good. But I think I'll pick TDU for my evil solo game, and play co-op with the goody normies.
