Obviously meaning Microsoft is buying Obsidian to put them to work on #BGIII.![]()
Makes sense, except Obsidian is not yet part of Microsoft and Fargo talks about somebody already working on BG3:

So they'd essentially have Obsidian make Pillows of Shitternity 3.

Yes, I like the idea. That's actually the only thing that would make sense: making the protagonist of BG1/2 the villain of BG3, maybe with an option to save him in the end.
Yes, I like the idea.
And the villains background and shape can be created by the player, so this could be in the end the character you played in the saga.
Daily reminder that BG3 is still being made by Larian.
People who are seriously making "guesses" or repeating the inane "they denied it so it's not them" - will regret this deeply in just a few years. I hope your apologies are gonna be good. Start preparing them.
Maybe, but are you sure what your friend heard wasn't just a term that was thrown around to refer to a Larian-made D&D RPG that won't actually be called "Baldur's Gate 3"?
You have reasons to trust Bester, he's such a trustable source of information even in France professional journos, quote him "http://www.gameblog.fr/news/78733-baldur-s-gate-3-larian-studio-divinity-sur-le-coup"Maybe, but are you sure what your friend heard wasn't just a term that was thrown around to refer to a Larian-made D&D RPG that won't actually be called "Baldur's Gate 3"?
That would be a bit of a coincidence considering it was pretty much confirmed that Larian or not, BG3 is in development.
Unless Fargo and Bester are both making shit up and there's no BG3 at all.
But I trust Bester.
DafuqGameblog """"journalist"""" notices 1:23 on the screen of the newly unveiled PS Vita , deduces it has "1hour23minutes" of autonomy, gets called out and mocked in the comments, still argues that his doubts are valid.
Obviously you continue it, just get into god-levels/godhood, what's the problem? One real tricky part of this though, is how do you continue the saga? BGII + expansion already had you go into epic levels, so you can't continue with that character. Obvious thing is to restart at level 1-3 (I hope they have you start at level 3) but then how do you factor in 'Baldur's Gate' aside from the obvious name drop? And for the love of rpgs, please don't make the Bhaalspawn of BG I & II the villain. That would be too cliche.

I don't think so. Gaider wouldn't have left Beamdog if they were making BG3.It's not Larian, Brian Fargo knows it, most likely Beamdog.
