I like the Forgotten Realms setting, gameplay was fun in EA and I want to see where the story is going. I don't think the writing reads that similarly to DA:I or any of the Dragon Age games really, Larian have a specific brand of goofiness that some people absolutely loathe but that is noticeably different from Bioware, who struggle more with taking themselves too seriously in their recent games (at least in my opinion).

I can only speak for myself, but I see an impressive amount of reactivity and skill/dialogue options, the exploration was decent in EA, there are certain treasures that you only find if you put together the clues from reading notes or using the amulet to speak with the dead (i.e., not spoonfeeding or quest notes), the combat is turn-based DND for better or worse, and perhaps most importantly I didn't feel railroaded into anything. In the first area, you can kill any combination of the goblin camp, the druids, tieflings, or all of them, or apparently ignore the subplot altogether. While the bear sex is cringe, at the same time BG3 is the perfect murder-hobo simulator.

The main issue I foresee is the balance on normal.

I wish we could form a complete paladin squad at character creation just so I can go full Imperium of Man on this game. Going to depopulate BG3 Oblivion-style. Eventually mods will introduce an interrupt function so you don't have to talk to NPCs at all before killing them!

Oh man, this picture is so cool. I saw that the Pathfinder studio is making a 40k game and they somehow managed to make it look gay as hell. They can truly make *anything* lame - which is a type of talent, I guess!

Hmm, I don't really know much about Russians, except from compilation videos about bad drivers and from history class where they were always somehow winning wars even though their entire army got slaughtered.
