This black outline gives the sprites a very cartoonish look on the screenshots. Does it look better in motion or does it look best when disabled?

I disabled the outline immediately at the beginning. After that it looks pretty much identical with BG. I wouldn't use it, doesn't bring any incline.

Still can't properly install SCS on BG1 with the hotfix! :negative:

Keep getting errors on some components and the AI one won't install at all.

EDIT: Figure I'll make do with the changes I got and just use the improved AI from the insane difficulty. Can't imagine the AI in the mod isn't comparable to the one made by Beamdog.

i tried to avoid breaking my current playthrough with scs installed by going offline mode.

He has the outline on. It doesn't look anything like that with it turned off. I would take a screenshot but can't for few hours.

Once upon a time I've made a big mistake and bought BG:EE on Steam. Does anyone know if I can buy SoD on GOG and use it with Steam version of BG:EE ?

Why was it a mistake?
In short - because I hate any kind of DRM.
BG EE is listed as DRM-free on Steam (I do not own it, so I cannot check if true). Try running the game exe with Steam closed and see if it works.

If it does, you can probably install GOG version of Siege of Dragonspear (when it launches there...) over it and play like this - although you should then disable autopatching on Steam for this game.

There's an option for non-retarded dialogs ? That's pretty cool.

You don't have to, my playthrough is working 100% fine. Just make sure you properly uninstall the mod and then do a fresh install.

I think what might've been causing problems for me earlier was that I was using the SCS installer (.exe) to reinstall, when the installer itself claims that to reinstall or reconfigure the mod you should use a .bat file that's created on your game folder. I then tried to reinstall throught that .bat and things kept being screwy, but I might've had corrupted something already by then.

Uninstalling and then using the installer (.exe) for a fresh install worked like a breeze. Right after executing the .exe you apply the fixpack and then you just go through all those DOS prompts. I'd say it's worth upgrading to the new patch.

My god - the characters look just like Ultima8. I'll be having nightmares. Paradoxically I wasn't going to buy it because I don't have the EE, but with not overwhelmingly negative reviews I can feel myself being tempted.
Only thing wrong in that picture is that half of the screen is black lol. They need to fix that shit.

well i forgot to change auto updates to when my game starts,so there goes my playthrough.
the thing is that even if it installs correctly, you dont know if the scripts will run as they should.
looking at the scs forums http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showforum=118,they are trying to solve things out.

I've played through 3 mage encounters and have genuinely not a felt a difference, but you're right that it can potentially be hard to tell. Everything other than scripts I can guarantee is working without a hitch, mages pre-buffing and such. And even regarding scripts I'm fairly certain I saw enemies chugging down potions, which is a clear indicator that at least some of them are working properly.

If you're that concerned, just turn on insane difficulty and check the gameplay option that removes the damage bonus (unless you're a hardcore masochist). I highly doubt that the SCS AI is very different from the improved one Beamdog developed.

Yeah, I have to say that it seems dumb to me to experiment with SCS and other mods at this stage. The game just came out, do you WANT to experience (even more) bugs?

That's some very Torment-y stuff - the meaning and power that names possess, e.g. her new name is a reflection of her transsexual identity, just like how opening the bronze sphere and learning your true name was the climx of Torment.

Looks like that collaboration with Chris Avellone is really paying off. :troll:

I hope that this is sarcasm.
