i honestly don't understand why you would play Veilguard to begin with.
I ask that myself all the time. I wanted to finish off the story was my goal.
for what it's worth i highly doubt Avowed will be as bad as Veilguard.

Why? I am not sure current Obsidian is any less woke than current Bioware. And the truth is that as much as we shit on Veilguard it's at least a 6/10 game. Somehow I am not convinced Avowed is on that level.

I don't know if I can handle another fake pretending rpg that is just trying to deliver modern culture propoganda messages.

Veilguard wore me out, some parts were interesting. But the modern day crap was so terrible, forced.

I really hope this game won't be like that but it's starting to feel very rainbow.

A young sailor boards the ship for the first time, and the bosun gives him a task:
"Go to the pharmacy and buy a pack of condoms and a bottle of nausea pills."
The sailor goes, buys them, and comes back. But the bosun says:
"No, no, go back and buy double the amount!"
The sailor obeys and returns with more. The bosun sends him again:
"Still not enough! Go get even more!"
This goes on several times, until the pharmacist, puzzled, finally asks the young sailor:
"Look, if it makes you so sick, why do you keep doing it?"

Me on the other hand, I don't have such problems, not playing slop and all...

Veilguard:

1. Wants to be indentified as a party-based game
2. Your party members don't have HP and can't be attacked
3. They're literally just awesome buttons on a cooldown

It's like bait but in videogame form.

But at least Veilguard has awesome button combat. It is not clear to me what Avowed has which makes it better than Veilguard. Not better combat, writing, art, anything.

Is this true? The party members can't even be attacked? Does the enemy just ignore them? That might be the worst thing I've heard about that game yet, which is really saying something.
