Better to make a new char! As Alphons says the game is very easy and I can't think it would be fun to import a high level char and make it even easier.
it'd be easy either way, so import it to get some callbacks and references to the previous game.Is it recommended to port your character into Trudograd or does that make that game really easy?
What weapon did you have in the Death Tunnel? I think that if you're going for guns build in Atom, you should strive for either crit-oriented sniper or automatic weapons specialist and focus on finding a good rifle fast - I played the former the first time and had no problems killing the not-deathclaws, with Fidel and Dogmeat by my side. By the way, pistol build is good for Fidel due to his few action points.Did I do something wrong or is this just a really good emulation of old school RPG imbalance?
I imported my character and the game was quite easy, but I don't think the game would be very challenging even if you made an entirely new character, either way you will hit a point where you are swimming in skills, so you may as well import your dude.Is it recommended to port your character into Trudograd or does that make that game really easy?
Only at the start. You just didn't manage to get a proper gun before death tunnel (and you weren't suppose to clear it in one go anyway even if that's entirely possible). Is melee supposed to be infinitely superior to guns?
But would a gunslinger fare better against those? I don't see how.your melee guy is gonna suffer once you start encountering enemies armed with AKs. One unlucky burst will send you to the happy hunting ground.
Which proper gun was I supposed to have at that point? I think the only non-rusty variants I had come across were nagants and makarovs and those are short ranged and do comparable damage to melee weapons you can get at the same point in time, so I might as well use one of them.Only at the start. I see. I specd into rifles and pistols, assuming I would only get automatic weapons much later (seemed to be correct) but I had only found rusty pistols, a rusty rifle and the old hunting rifle, which isn't rusty but is only single shot and that shot doesn't do much damage. What weapon did you have in the Death Tunnel? Also, if I understood correctly and you're doing the Death Tunnel quest ten hours in, you're probably heavily underleveled. Atom follows the Russian RPG philosophy, meaning that you're supposed to wander around and do the side content without worrying much about the main quest. You can see the same in Fallout Nevada.

I mean, it's not a linear game. Very ahem akin to Fallout. You can pull off various tricks to get your hands on high tier gear early on if you know what you're doing. The most simple and by far boring way would be just grind wasteland with any melee wep or pistol then go to Peregon and sell shit, buy some, then repeat untill you get some serious stuff. Or you can kill certain guards/chars w/o becoming chaos agent for example and loot them. Or just play normally but in that case retracting from too tough encounters is an ok approach, right? Either way, it's not melee vs ranged argument at all. For playing melee you need high tier armor/grenades/drugs asap instead anyway.Which proper gun was I supposed to have at that point? Guess I'll see. So far it seems like I have the choice between suffering either early game or late game. But would a gunslinger fare better against those? Tiny spoiler: the most difficult fights will play out in pre-war bunkers. They have narrow corridors and lots of corners. You can fire a few shots (or even several bursts, if you have enough action points and proper perks) and then hide behind a corner so that the enemies will not hit you on their turn, only move closer to you. Then you attack again and choose another corner to move behind.
Good luck with using this tactics as a melee build. You'll need action points to close in on your enemies and then to hit them a few times. Problem is, there will be no APs left to fall back to a safe location. Foes will all fire bursts of bullets at you from point blank range and even with lots of hps and heavy armor, you can only withstand a few of these.
Well then, I better find some cultist and take their tire armor.I mean, it's not a linear game. Very ahem akin to Fallout. How did they get away with that jew character lmao jesus christ
If the booksellser ever dies (from ciggies for example) his kippah gives an insane bonus to Barter.
I can make guards smoke themselves to death? How do I do that? How many cigs?

Might try thx.I can make guards smoke themselves to death? How do I do that? How many cigs?
A lot tbh. You'll be there all day
Put the cigs in your weapon slot, go next to the target, click on the cig like a weapon, then click on the target. Rinse and repeat.
