At this point Ubisoft is worth what, 1,2 billion $? That's nothing. The IPs it sits upon are more valuable than that.

If Tencent purchases Ubisoft, they'll gut the company, leaving maybe 10% of the current employees or less and give the valuable IPs (AssCreed, Might & Magic, etc) to their own teams, maybe with some key people inherited from Ubisoft in advisory roles.

At this point I'm convinced someone at Ubisoft is deliberately sabotaging the game, or engineering it to be an insult to Japan.
The problem is that you, like other Codexers, aren’t French and have never spoken to actual Ubisoft employees, as I have. If you had, you’d know it’s worse than your worst nightmares. For example, one guy was almost fired and faced an official internal inquiry for harassment simply because he looked at a woman at the coffee machine during his break. That’s just one example among many. It’s a toxic workplace filled with ‘god-king’ managers, the kind you see blogging on LinkedIn, while all the skilled people have fled.

You’re seeing it wrong. At Ubisoft, this is like medals on a 5-star general’s uniform.

I'd honestly love to read a book, or watch a documentary about the makings of Shadows. There's got to be so many changes they've done in these months as a damage control, and I'd love to know what changed, and what was cut.

Poster looks like ass.

They're also clearly trying to hide Yaksuke or whatever. lol his face is almost entirely covered compared to everyone else.

What a clown show.

This is the new cover btw, who is the protagonist?
Don't you get it? All of Japan is the protagonist

People still think samurais where all honorable and stuff? Do they also think knights in Europe were chivalrous?
The only thing in samurai code is to kill enemies of your master, no matter what.

You know, all this desperation to downplay Yasuke makes me believe that Ubisoft is genuinely afraid of Yasuke backlash specifically, and the delays were to change his content as much as possible, not to fix the game because it's about as good as Outlaws. That would mean that we're winning the culture war.
