Cleopatra was the first assassin.
This game series keeps popping up every now and then, Ubi gave me a copy of ACIII for free and it even spawned a movie.
This is popular and has fans. I just can't get myself to play any of those games, everything about them seem so.. meh.. undercooked and uninspired. A game that only a corporation could make.
Cleopatra was the first assassin.
lol if there's actually a "Cleopatra" in this game the nerdrage will be epic
Probably won't be though, Assassin's Creed doesn't go that far in historical inaccuracy.
Are you really praising AC 2 for its story? A game which had a boss fight with the fucking Pope holding a magic spectre and casting magic at you? This game series keeps popping up every now and then, Ubi gave me a copy of ACIII for free and it even spawned a movie.

I really liked the first two games. The first game felt "next-gen" when it was released I remember, even if it was repetitive. I know many disliked the Sci-Fi aspect of the game, but I loved it. I felt it was one of the strong points of the game. In other words I liked the Desmond sections. Those sections didn't have any hand-holding and you could experiment with different things which in turn spawned different cut-scenes and I think the ending got affected as well. Second one had a funny & charming protagonist and the story felt tight. One thing I really enjoyed with the second game was uncovering the secret of the origins of the humans. They had some really nasty puzzles you had to look for and solve, really enjoyable. Brotherhood was okay, but the rest after that is pretty much shit. I haven't played the fourth game in the series though, but I have heard it is enjoyable but worse than Brotherhood.

There was nothing good about the Sci-Fi shit. No different ending, everything linear. You went around picking shit up or not. Whole game series would have been better without that as it's clear that they had no idea what to do with the story and how to shoehorn it into the historical world. It just kind of petered out with ever more ludicrous additions that got in the way. Eventually it all became a parody with the whole Abstergo Entertainment game within a game thing from AC4 onward. Wish it just ran as a historical open world adventure without that distraction as the actual worlds Ubi creates are great looking and fun to wander around in. They just forget to put a compelling narrative and gameplay to go along with it for much of the series.
The game is set in Pharaonic Egypt centuries before the Greeks and Romans.

The GAF quote above says:

I know GAF and everything, but the power struggle / civil war seems to be a good setting for the Assassins / Templar dualism, especially when they can bring well known figures like Caesar in.
"Medjay" in Ptolemaic Egypt? Ok....

Mark Antony will be a Nubian lesbian.I wonder if Cleopatra will look black / Nubian in the game.
