Alright, a mainly vertical map, looks like 12worms verse 2worms, 100health verse 900health.
This is the kind of map where you've gotta be really careful..Not just because of the odds, but also because of the time; you see that 9:56 there in the righthand bottom corner? That's how long we've got until sudden death, all worms get 1hp and the water starts to raise.
Obviously that would be good for us, it would remove the enemy advantage and allow us to just use a couple of airstrikes to win.
It's also the cowards way out and McJack ain't no coward. There's only one course of action to be done.
I'm sure it'll work this time; Beta McMin's decided to target the oil drum, not the worm, hoping to at least do more than 10 damage for once.
At least he..sort of tried?
--Oh no wait, that's our worm. I'm sure there's a purpose to that.
He also..sort of..tried..a bit..
Beta McMin quite literally goes up in the world, his goal is a very simple one: Remove the worms McJack JR. forgets about.
For fuck sakes the shotgun can shoot twice. AT LEAST FIRE IT TWICE!
There's a perfectly valid reason why McJack JR. is randomly drilling. It's preparing for the big bang.
STOP IT, STOP SUCKING SO MUCH. GODDAMN.
McMin's first target is Mouse Meat. I'm sure an untrained rookie literally pulled off of the streets of Codexia can manage such a difficult shot that's required.
You might think this is some progress the AI is making. It really isn't progress, you can see their earlier shotgun blast closer to McJack than this bazooka's blast. It's more like a step backwards.
The AI pissed about some more, I can't be bothered to show it
The problem with doing a lot of drilling and digging is that it makes me wish I was playing dig dug.
Okay. Just look at what the AI has done. Somehow, somehow, the AI has managed to throw a grenade in the air for one second. This is the single frame directly prior to the grenade blowing up. Pray, explain, how the AI would remotely
remotely decide this is the right course of action.
This is the single stupidest thing I have ever seen an AI do in a worms game. At least with the other stupid as hell choices you can sort of understand what they were trying to do, or how the 'thought' pattern went.
Nearly completed preparations..
Three guesses what the AI did on their turn. Go on.
McMin is ready to strike, next go..
Well done guys, destroyed your own sentry gun there.
I had hoped that the AI would have broken McJack out of his tunnels, but I guess not.
So AirStrike time!
Shows a good portion of the map.
Also FIRST BLOOD!
They really hate those oil drums.
Second blood. McMin just got beaten by McJack.
At least he's..attacking..even if the AI manages to do more damage to himself, attacking two of his own worms, in order to get at me..
Seriously fucking stupid, but it's progress..
Well done guys, seriously.
This is what all of the build up has been for. The plan is for the buffalo to hit Curdle, explode backwards off of him while sending him off the cliff, thereby killing him and hopefully putting him next to Mouse Trap. The buffalo, having bounced backwards will hit Edam, and then merrily go down the tunnels, break through them, hit Curdle and Mouse Trap, dealing enough damage to Mouse Trap so that Curdle's deathbomb will kill him, and then doing just enough damage to Stinky to knock him off the map into the water; three kills.
Nothing could go wrong.
Looks like he won't hit Edam..and Curdle isn't flying far enough to land next to Mouse Trap - or to even clear the cliff. Damn.
At least it worked in theory.
At least it knocked Stinky off.
Not too bad. Not too bad at all.
Look at that. The AI suddenly does something impressive and not at all pathetically shit.
In fact that's too fucking perfect of a shot; it makes everything else the AI have been doing look really really shitty in contrast.
At least if McJack dies next turn, he'll take two of them down with him.
In theory he should survive the next AI turn..
Rat Bait is next up for the chopping block.
Even if it was semi planned, it's still pathetic.
McJack. Dying with style.
You served the cause well.
Brave hero of Diversity.
Like a pro, McJack JR. manages to die by water instead of his own weaponry.
In his final moments, McJack JR. managed to become the worm with the second most kills: beaten only by Urist McJack.
Even with the AI playing so badly, it's not like Beta McMin is doing much better. The latest addition to the squad will be the doom of us. Damnnit McMin.
Managed to kill Rat Bait this time, huh McMin? Still managed to do damage to yourself, I see..
We're doomed.
Hmm. A bit close for comfort, that.
Damnnit man stop sucking. This carries on for a while until..
McMin resigns to using a homing rocket.
Which, naturally, fails.
More failure on each side is continued; but at least it's always roughly on target.
A supersheep is sent out to finish off Creamy
It's..sort of looking good?
Well done. You were doing..sort of well..for such a long time, and then you do something as stupid as this.
Firing into the wall next to you. Smooth.
Finally, the pissing match is won by McMin.
No time like the present, I've wanted to finish this within the ten minutes and dammnit, we can still do it.
Another turn skipped. Seriously, there's literally hundreds of things you could do that would make more sense and be more useful, and yet a turn is skipped. Pointlessly.
Beta McMin decides that it's too dangerous to be near Krafty..and the ledge. But still, got a couple of turns 'til it's Krafty up.
Three to go now..1 minute and a half to do it. We've got time.
Just when it looked the AI was doing something, they took some fall dmg.
Easy pickings. But..that ledge looks slightly exposed..
Good lord, the AI is doing something. QUICK MAN THE LIFEBOATS.
1 on 1 now..
Bah, slightly over, but good enough right?
Dammnit tunnels, let McMin jetpack through you.
Stupid tunnels.
Is that dynamite?
Why is there dynamite there? WHY DID MCMIN JUST PLACE DYNAMITE THERE OH GOD WHAT
RUN FUCKING RUN MCMIN
It's okay..Beta made it. Fuck. What the fuck.
It seems that all the jetpacks but one were used trying to get out of the tunnels; when the fire button was pressed to use the next jetpack, it changed to use the weapon that would have been dropped from a jetpack, since there wasn't another jetpack to use. Typically being dynamite..
That was very close..
Damn.
Woah woah no no no no no no no no.
Here is a very detailed MS paint sketch of what will happen with the directions of the rockets. Oh and Beta McMin only has 1hp to survive them.
As expected, the first two missiles blow up harmlessly.
Wait. Ahaha has the explosion knocked those two missiles off course?
Mother of god.
Diversity Squad. Pro as fuck.
Beta McMin ninja ropes back up, but without being able to do much else, plants a magnet in hopes that it'll save him.
It also appears the AI have mastered using the fire button twice in a row.
A dangerous game of cat and mouse starts..
I've left out a couple of screenshots due to the number of images.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck that's the danger zone right there, one shot to break through, one shot to kill McMin..
On one hand, that was painfully easy because the AI sucked so fucking much.
On the other, if they hadn't, the Squad would have easily died; nearly doing so when the AI sucked 90% of their turns.
I did play very recklessly though so..Eh.
