Good questions. For release date, I prefer to use the region where it first released. When it comes to publishers, I try to go for the IP holder or "actual" publisher.

Square Enix used to publish Atlus games in Europe, for example, but I feel like that would start to get confusing. They also published Call of Duty in Japan. It can all get super confusing, if we allow it to be.

When it comes to tags, I use Steam, GOG tags as a reference. You can put down whatever tags you want, because I look through them, and change some of them.

I decided against screenshots, because every game title is linked to a store page with screens/trailers, or for delisted games, other sites with media.

The format used in the current entries will be the one I go with for the forseeable future.

This was the most respectable list I could make for this god awful year. Either way, I added a "Country of Origin" tag. I want to add all submissions into an Excel sheet and play around with data (Country of Origin is a good one to play around with). There's a few that weren't PC released in 2013 (Console JRPGs) but I already finished them by the time I realized so fuck it. I also left out mobile game ports.

I'm going to have to go back and look over the "GOTY" placements because they're sorted weirdly in the doc (They're numbered but don't use the same ordering as the full Age of Incline results, so I'll need to figure that out). Tags definitely need to be looked at after the list gets going too, they can't do much until more organized (And now I'll just take a second to vent about how retarded the tags people put on Steam are. Can take one look at a game and see tags are wrong. No one seems to understand what open world means either).

I thougth a part of the idea was to have prestigious Codex tags, not the retarded steam hive-minded ones, like Lords of the Fallen tagged as "story rich" and Shadowrun both as "strategy" and "tactical".

I added in Path of Exile which is the only "online" game in, but at this point I think focus should just be on getting the list done and worry about tiny specifics like that later. Can spend months thinking about specifics but nothing will get done without actual submissions.
