I hope this is real gameplay and not only animation, it looks great.

That UI is straight rip off Fallout 1/2 LOL. Also it is too big for 2023, I do not need c/p from old UI but an improved version of it. F1/2 UI was cool looking but barely useful.

Only thing that was not user friendly in F1/F2 is inventory, rest was more than adequate.
This is still prototype/early alpha who knows what it will look like - I hope they will leave it this way and not go for generic flat resizable Helvetica-variant UI.

++ Games with combat/event log have great UI.

Inventory was main culprit but use of skills was also not good. And it was way too large like this UI above. I want to see more of the game and less of UI. Unless the game is something like managing a submarine where watching at UI of instruments is 100% of the game.

I’ve been saying for a while that there is an audience for genres other than D&D-inspired fantasy and this vindicates me. Why do I still feel hollow?

No news for a longer time, but project is not dead.
One of the developers, that also works on Project Van Buren, is frequent on the NMA and will start to work on New Blood RPG in "more fulltime fashion".
Guy seems like he knows what he is talking about, so good addition.

Copypasta of the his last entry from the NMA:
Reporting that the animation system I mentioned is now finished and I am quite satisfied with it. I also reimplemented the inventory system, using the new pieces of the codebase. I'll need to play with it for a couple of days, test it thoroughly and then I'll move back to scripting and some actual content making (basically recreating the two demo maps and their design - NPC scripts, doors, triggers, etc.).

Also - I resigned from my current gamedev job and I'm very excited to announce that in about a month from now I'll be working on the unannounced New Blood's RPG in a more fulltime fashion. This means I'll have more time for my sideprojects (since NBRPG used to be one of them)

Didn't know artist from Nevada Band is working on this. He deserves recognition.
It's good New Blood folks are working on CRPGs. They've been pumping out good games for a while now and I remember them being respectful to their sources of inspiration. Even if this is not going to be some masterpiece it's still going to be worth checking.

Also, Ion Storm/Daikatana reference of all things:

Behind you.
These New Blood fellas are a feisty bunch, but I don't know about hating the money.
I bet they don't hate money enough to give away their game for free.

Oddly enough, two of those studios on there released two very expensive to make woke pieces of shit, Volition(Saints Row reboot) and Arkane(Redfall).

A lot of these were former Bethesda owned studios, which I have a feeling might have something to do with MicroSoft firing a shot over Bethesda's bow. The Fallout TV show's marketing was a success despite the show being absolute shit which drove interest in Fallout way, way up. Meanwhile, Bethesda hasn't released anything new since Fallout 76 and that was six years ago. TES6 is supposed to be their next game, with the next Fallout after that. Supposedly MicroSoft isn't happy with Bethesda not being able to capitalize on the success of that show, which I halfway wonder wasn't designed around the idea of wrecking the older games in order to make the next Fallout game on the West Coast. Ultimately, though, Bethesda liked money enough to sell out to MicroSoft, and all those other studios liked money enough to sell themselves to Bethesda, so they can enjoy the bed they made.

Well, the Dusk developer did make a video not too long ago about how he loves making games to sell (the commercial aspect was the main part of the video), so they certainly do not hate money. I think it is meant more as that they do not have money as the motivating factor for what they make (or do, in general), in a tongue-in-cheek way. It is a weird slogan to have, IMO though.

It seems that main developer is a keen alpinist, so work on this and Van Buren is slow lately.
But he is excited about new project for the New Blood Interactive, which may be this thing.
No news besides that.

Publishers New Blood Interactive are tweeting like crazy, and are supporting bunch of old and new games.
No mention of this unnamed vaporware there.

I am revisiting Fallout: Tactics. It was so long ago since I played any original Fallout game that I am grateful for the tutorial. Visuals and the atmosphere are still top notch, and I am not even that big a fan of post-apo (especially a quirky one, such as retrofutiristic).

my tip to enjoying it is play on a high difficulty, this will force you to actually use positioning, stealth and even turn-based to execute well

that, and mule all the gear from the maps for sale, everything is crazy expensive back at the bunkers  and make sure to sell using a character you've specifically built for barter (which you never bring to missions)

Lead developer of the game here. I'm not allowed to talk about details yet, but what I can say that I work on the project fulltime now, have been for 6 months. We have a prototype made in one tech, and we're building our own technology as well, which needs time.

its possible its just red888guns
It is, in fact. Alex has been working on this for years. The amount of art he's made is mind blowing.

Maybe it would be nice to give a developer tag to Interceptor?

Well, I don't own the studio, nor am I the shot-caller on the entire project. I'm a programmer and tech guy, that's where I can make decisions. Unless I'm explicitly allowed to talk about details, I won't compromise studio's marketing plans or strategies on informing the public about the project, whether there are any or not. It's not my field and I won't stick my nose into someone else's business. If that makes me a cuck, I'm the very president of International Cuck Association.
