I'm not going to deny my song being worse than the original, but it's pretty good. I'm not sure what it says about my music that someone with bad taste (feet) dislikes it.

Kind of wondering what you think of this song as opposed to the original.

My song is actually a cover too. I downloaded the notes from Ben Houge's site, loaded them in fruity loops and composed some parts like the beginning 80 seconds (the takeoff sequence) or so myself. Now I'm not actually sure what the difference between a cover and a remix is.

Cover = you play the original song with your own instruments, but don't change anything about its structure. It's the same song interpreted by a different musician or band.
Remix = you take parts of the original song and add your own variations to it, changing some parts, usually adding a beat in the background, etc, until the end result is a new song of its own, cobbled together from parts of the original.
