Officially - none. And, I'm afraid, in reality, none as well.
I'd be surprised if he didn't write anything. They were the only dev that didn't give him the boot when the false accusations came out
After he had been cancelled he spent a year in private. I doubt he would have been very productive during that year.

Pillars did not have literal shit demon, so yes, it is a better story.
I see that the quality of writing depends on what is written and not how. I guess fan fiction about Konan the Barbarian will be ideal for you.
Have you considered the possibility that it might depend on both?
IMHO, this would be massively dumb. An interesting story can be told about anything, from the love between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy to the understanding between humans and a sentient ocean.

Wrath has an interesting story, the style of the writing is more or less consistent, the characters are well built and influential. All the rage that some of the NPC and companions induce means only one: they are good. The worst character is not the demon made of sewage - it is the character that is forgotten 1 paragraph after the introduction.
By your logic Abby from last of us 2 is the best character in the video game history.
Hero making you mad or annoyed does not equate to them having good writing, you dipshit.

She is, indeed, very good - don't know if she is "the best". The game is very successful at hammering into the player's heads the idea that revenge is futile. The fact that most of the players do not like this idea is a completely different matter.

Also, if someone here is the fan of "A Song of Ice and Fire", I think similar rude awakening will happen to us there. That is, if GRRM lives long enough to finish the series.

So… It’s good writing because it drills something into your head? Even if it’s contrived and poorly done?
What the fuck?

The writing may be "bad" but what else came out in the last years that had better writing?
I am waiting for an answer.
I ll take the last five years as indicator to name just a few (no doubt there are many more, its an extremely low bar to clear):
Vagrus - very good
Greedfall - by no means a good game, but tolerable story and atmosphere, heads & shoulders above of both pathfinders
Battle Brothers - very good
Spellforce 3 - above average, but deffo better writing than both pathfinders
West of Loathing - Top notch comedy writing
And even the much-maligned (but eventually somewhat redeemed at the codex) Vendetta: Curse of Ravens Cry.

Can you Cringefinder people not at the very least have the dignity to pass by this thread; ignore it and instead roll around in your own excrement like the pigs you are, praising your enjoyment of shit-demons and cuckoldry and trannydom. Have you no dignity? Trying to argue against your abject humiliation for the sake of degenerate pleasure.

It's people who came into "writing" from copywriting. Hurr durr, the point of our ad campaign is not to convince people that our product is good, it is to be so fucking annoying that they will remember our brand for the rest of their lives. And don't forget the obligatory "reee, hate us more, it's free brand advertising, yahooo".

Sorry, but if a character I am supposed to "empathize" with makes me want to stomp her head into pavement, you fail as a writer, go back to penning retarded Skittles commercials.

Are you supposed to "emphasize" with Winston Smith after his failure or is Mr. Orwell a bad writer? Whom are you supposed to "emphasize" in "Anna Karenina"? Anna? Old Karenin? Vronsky? Or did Leo Tolstoy work for Skittles as well?

I really wish Desiderius was here now.

I never thought this thread would devolve into unironic defence of the garbage fire that was TLOU2.

Yes you empathize with him throughout the whole novel, even after his failure, maybe especially after it. Just because a character is flawed or fails doesn't mean you can't empathize or identify with them. Jesus Christ.

Then why people here define good writing as something with "male paladins" instead of telling a good story that connects the reader to the setting and the characters, be they good, bad, annoying or even evil?

Why is it garbage? You don't think that "an eye for an eye" is bad? Neither do I, but how does it make the story worse? You can disagree with the main idea, but to invalidate the whole story only because you disagree with its message... seems strange.

I don’t “disagree” with the stories message. I hate the story because it’s poorly written woke garbage that is subversive for subversions sake.
Now can we all stop fucking arguing about shit that has nothing to do with the subject of this thread?

They're not you're just misinterpreting them or misrepresenting them because you're stupid.

My favourite book series was The Earthsea Saga, and then I read the 4th book Tehanu. The series hero Ged was a constant source of taoist wisdom, and a guide to the younger characters in the previous books. In Tehanu he was a foul grumpy old man who refused to even speak for most of the book. Tenar, the protagonist of the second book, was once a fearless young girl who at the end of her book finally took her life into her own hands. In Tehanu she was a grumpy housewife who didn't care that her husband was dead, and who resented her children because they were going to inherit her property, and because "they didn't do the dishes or help her cook supper." Tehanu was a book that was clearly written with resent to the characters and books that I loved, it wanted to stomp all over everything I found beautiful about them, so of course I hated it.

This has become a trend lately, The Last Jedi, The Matrix Resurrections, The Last of Us 2. They were all created to subvert the themes of the series, and thus to shit on what the fans loved about the earlier releases. (They're also coincidentally all heavily involved in leftist politics, for some reason.) Did The Last of Us 2 succeed in ruining the day of the fans of the last game, in being bold? Yes, but that doesn't mean it necessarily had good writing. People hate The Last of Us 2 because it was made to be hated.

Anyway to return the thread to it's original purpose, the Lann romance! Definitely the cringiest part of the game imo, as Lann thinks you're dating because you call him "friend," and because you do some sparring training with him. Then later on he gets drunk and goes to a bar to fight demons and pulls out the "someone as cool as you doesn't deserve an awkward loser like me..."

Goddammit. The first trilogy was written by a woman and was actually good oddly enough, but it seems she fell into wokeism, which explains why the SJW praises these books, something that confused me.
For extra hilarity according to what you say the writer shits on a former heroine.

It's to get across that he's nervous and spilling the spaghetti

Yup. In the last chapter of the book the main villain puts a collar on the main female protagonist, and makes her walk around on her knees and bark like a dog and eat food off of the floor. Empowering feminist fiction.

People unironically loving Le Guin (couldn't even stand reading first few stories of the "A Fisherman of the Inland Sea", ugh, this obsession with sex and bodily fluids) or Heinlein of his CIA-affiliated period and shitting on this game

Who? The names don't ring a bell, authors clearly fail from your perspective.

And yes, we are expected to sympathize with those stronk silent black men, fierce indypyndy wahmen and le funneh comic relief fursonas the games flood us with, spending months of manhours on "companion quests" and writing fucking romances with them. Otherwise... why take them along, for fuck's sake?
