There is literally zero reason to play this. It's not interesting in any way, you know the combat is shit, you know the setting is shit, it looks shit, not just shit but incompetent shit, they were not able to program encounters with one enemy at the time so they settled on "only one enemy will attack you at a time". Like literally, what the fuck? I don't care about graphics in video games, but if NPC face animations look straight out of 2006, something smells fishy, and I have reasons to believe the developers are retarded.

The only reason anyone will play it is that they've played a game with an "Obisidian" logo once and they've been pavlovdogged to consume a product with the same logo again. But the joke is that Obsidian never even made a great game, they've made maybe 2-3 okay games, and their crap got progressively worse over time. Pillars 2 and Pentiment are stellar examples of games being ridiculously bad and the developers being too far up their own asses to notice that they're not even able to comprehend basic concepts such as "story" or "gameplay".

It's Obsidian. You know it's going to be a bland waste of time, and there will be a couple of details that will capture your attention and make you wonder why is there not more of that thing in the game. Then 4 years from now you shall suddenly remember ''Oh yeah, I played Avowed back then!'' and that will be the last time you think about it.

I liked PoE1&2 and I wanted a game in the same vein, not that. So I might give it a free try to judge it by myself.

If I think it does deserve my money after my "free trial" then I will consider buying it for 10€ or less. Fat chances though(Fuck Microsoft).

It doesn't instantly disgust me like Veilguard, but it's ugly and filled with all kinds of modern writing. I can smell the stench from here.

I might play it only out of professional curiosity when it's on a 90% off sale.

Everything I've seen so far looks incredibly unappealing. Rainbow color palette. Lame combat. intrusive, unimmersive UI with a bunch of markers and persistent quest log. Anachronisctic dialogue. It looks to be continuing the trends that made The Outer Worlds the lamest RPG in recent memory.

I'm definitely going to play it, I play most fantasy RPGs with third person or isometric perspectives eventually and since it's a day 1 Gamepass release I can just get a month for a tenner and no-life it. If it ends up looking a lot better on release than it seems right now I'd consider getting a steam copy instead so I can replay it, especially if it has a lot of branching paths, but I would be shocked if that was the case because if it was they'd be shouting it from the rooftops by now.

Maybe, on a discount. I've actually foresworn anything bigger than A games, but in this case, why not, the game doesn't seem terrible and only mildly gay. There are not enough good small games around to keep me occupied (right now I'm playing 0 and waiting for 3), so I might pick this up as my guilty pleasure. You know, like how people with a diet that's not shit eat McDonald's from time to time. Enjoy the slop then it's back to meat and veggies.
