I'm addicted to Clear Sky + The Faction War mod. Larping a stalker who is just trying to earn some money while doing some missions with an npc stalker who follows me around like a pack mule. The graphics and effects are amazing. Getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with an emission coming your way is a truly frightening experience. Shit, even a storm is a frightening experience. It's that good.

Can you point me to the mod? There are a few faction war mods out there so I don't know if I have the right one. Just finished Clear Sky for the first time, so I'm interested in trying out a few mods.
I think these are the latest versions:

2.9

2.9.1 patch

http://www.filefactory.com/file/cb9b...v2.9Patch1.rar

I think that's the one, here's where I got it:

Picked up World of Tanks again despite promising myself not to. So far, I've avoided the temptation to spend money on gold coins. Grinded the german Tank destroyer tree until the StuG III. It's pretty fun to play with a couple of mates (one of which bought those damnable gold coins so we can play together) and use them to bait enemies into ambushes.

The problem I was having with JA2 is possibly the most retarded thing that has ever happened to me. The reason some ALT-codes weren't working (namely quicksave/quickload) was because of my WNA3100 Wireless Adapter thingy - which has absolutely NO reason at all for making said ALT-codes non-functional (but just does it because it's a piece of shit). I only found this out after reinstalling JA2 about five times, then testing ALT+S in System Shock 2 (where it is also quicksave), then working out that it was a software blocking them somehow and spending hours in google to find out which software.

All I had to do was close the Netgear process, reconnect my internet without directly using the Netgear program and now I can play JA2 properly again.

Never use vendor utilities for wireless cards. Install driver only, let Windows handle the rest.

Damn, it's nice to see how well Red Alert's interface held up all this time. Some pre-2000 RTS are annoying to control but this one is still nice and simple.

I'm currently catching up on my next-gen adventure gaming, specifically Telltale's Sam N' Max Season 3 and Back to the Future. They're alright cartoons but not so much alright adventure games unfortunately.

I've also reinstalled Alpha Protocol because I fucking love Alpha Protocol and I realize now that it's one of those games that's never going to leave my hard drive.

DoW: Dark Crusade for the past two weeks. I played Soulstorm again before that and had DC just lying there, having tried one map with Tau earlier but that's it. Well I miss not having Dark Eldar, and some of the maps are just clones of each other with different ecology, but it's ok, and makes me wish DoW2: Retribution had included Tau too.

Kinda.

Edit: Whoa holy shit did this guy model all that himself?
I was kinda excited at first but then I clicked and well. What the fuck.
Well, I did say "Kinda."

Actually Warpstorm over Aurelia (like FoK) is being worked on. Not sure if it will have Tau. But it did have a public beta release a few days ago.

What space game is that Garfunkel? At least I hope it's a game and not some Nasa scientific collaboration thingy.

Me, I'm getting addicted again to Master of Magic I guess.

Holy shit, the avionics are complicated!!!

Have you played that ridiculous DCS: A-10C sim?

No, it's still too expensive at $60. I'd really like to check it out though, once I have some extra cash.

I do love me some flight simulators. :P
