Fragment of second update on Kickstarter Page:

"(...)Through the support of our amazing fan community we will be localizing the game into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Polish. For anyone in those territories that want to help with this, please look for information on our Forums.

Where is that information on the forum? Tried to find it, failed.

Yeah, same.
It is in the second Kickstarter update http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/wasteland-2/posts

It isn't in the forums. It's in the kickstarter blog (updates section).

I'm not too worried about the "Frankenstein" game scenario happening due to too many people shouting. Fargo said he's going to use fan feedback for the big picture and to get a general consensus, not for adding emotionally engaging butt sex because a few people want it.

RE: POLL: As funding continues... What's next?!

That poll is :decline: and has me worried. Fargo is a standup guy, but he's never been in this position before. I'm sure he's resilient and will stick to his vision, but he did say "you're all my bosses now".

This poll needs to be replaced.

There are several important issues being debated on the forum that are not represented.

Likewise, we should be given the ability to vote against a particular idea. The forum and GM are structured that way, these polls should be structured in similar fashion.

It may be more important to clarify what we don't want to see in Wasteland 2, than what we do want.

There are many backers who believe this project should an anti-Bioware/Bethsoft/AAA production. If we don't have the ability to vote something down, we won't be heard.

Man, their closing in on 1,100,000 already! This is getting even more exciting!!

The Codex should have a contest where we each guess how much the final total will be and that Codexer who gets closest to the actual final pledge amount wins one of the rewards from our $5,000 pledge. What do you think?

edit because of Taluntain's post above: Looks like maybe the reward from our $10,000 pledge!!!!

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
It's the first time I paid for something that isn't even in the first alpha stage. It'd better be worth it!

Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Divinity: Original Sin 2
$6706,97 to date.

You guys are officially nuts.

Also, $500 donation in this batch.

What exactly happens with the extra money? We only needed 5000, where does the rest go? I'm going to donate to this when I can(same problem as mentioned above with CC)as I don't want to be one of those spongeing faggots that takes the benefits without making any effort, but was curious as to where there rest of the money will go.

I don't think we have to worry about the game until it gets to the Steam Beta stage.

At that point I predict there will be a lot of complaining that could turn the game into a frankenmonster. A lot of people haven't played a turn based game before. There are already people complaining about turn based being too slow.

It will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

The only other thing I think is worth worrying about is that they keep talking about releasing it in October of 2013. That makes me nervous. I want them to release the game when it is finished, not in the 4th quarter of 2013 just to take advantage of the consumer orgy of X-Mas.

More money means we get a shrine and the statue. Better bargaining position baby.

Everything donated to RPG Codex during the time the WL2 Kickstarter is active will go to WL2.

Voting again doesn't change the totals - it just allows you to change how your vote is allocated.

I think Brian's on crack. He's acting like some kind of rabid codex/anon hybrid. His reputation amongst publishers is ruined forever.

But goddamn, i love that man!

Over 20 years of waiting for this moment. I wouldn't be suprised if he ran naked one morning due to high happiness levels.

Also, regarding tablets/phoneshit: "That seems to be the consensus but no way will I make any compromises for the PC platforms anyway."

Don't see your name on the donation list yet Tal. When is your $1000 donation coming?

Haven't you heard all my payments are in gold bricks?

What exactly happens with the extra money? We only needed 5000, where does the rest go? I'm going to donate to this when I can(same problem as mentioned above with CC)as I don't want to be one of those spongeing faggots that takes the benefits without making any effort, but was curious as to where there rest of the money will go.

It says on the donation page. It'll all be spent on W2 for various extra perks and if there's anything left, on the server and other expenses. You also have to figure in PayPal's cut and the taxes on this collection, which is quite a lot unfortunately.

Which is something we should be celebrating. The man is standing up for us and we're standing up with him!:bro:
The publishers can gargle Brian's and the Codex's balls.
