That sounds pretty fun. Not too keen on the only 2 maps (Or "Scenarios") available, but the game really did seem to need some co-op ork mashing.

Unfortunately still doesn't really seem like enough to get me to drop $50 on it at launch. Just hope that'll be free DLC forever, and not some free timed bullshit to encourage early adopters. But it will be. Fuckers. Piss. PISS.

Well it really depends on the number of waves. DoW2 had only one map (for its horde mode) for the longest time, but 20 very distinct waves. They added another map with Retribution, also with 20 waves. I don't find the maps repetitive at all (maybe because they get so fucking hard it turns into clusterfuck no matter what) though other unrelated aspects of the mode do make it repetitive...

On the other hand, they confirmed they aren't adding any new races, which isn't good - It can possibly result in low enemy variety and probably smaller number of waves.

Upon deep self-examination, canceled the pre-order. Half-assed coop mode doesn't do it for me, and I have a strong feeling that single-player level design will suck donkey balls.

There's a demo. Play instead of look.

Don't have to pick up and play with a turd if I can see that it's clearly a turd sitting on the ground. This is just another awful console third person over-the-shoulder action game.

Except that you can play most of the game not in over-the-shoulder mode.

Yeah, found it much easier to just shoot from the hip unless I needed to hit something long range, since you can get swarmed pretty fast unless you roll away.

Fighting hordes of Orks in the demo is getting kind of stale, though. I haven't really looked into whether Chaos is still in it, but couldn't see getting the game at full price if it doesn't pick up in pace. The jump pack mission is a lackadaisical jumpathon - I can't really explain it, but slowmo goomba stomping Orks didn't really do anything for me.

Chaos is in. Traitor IG and chaos marines. So probably 2 hours of orks and then 2 hours of chaos and then you wrestle with a giant multiheaded penis and the game's over.

So actually the demo jump pack mission comes before the other one in the actual campaign.

Weird, though, there weren't any Tankbustas in the Inquisition level.

Doesn't Angry Joe show actual game clips?

This guy just talks. Cap-ended by minute long anime intro and outro. Has to be seen to be believed.

Hi, got the game in France (don't blame me plz :) we are not that bad as you may think)

Short review

I beat the campaign twi (once on normal and then difficult) Lifetime: 9-10h. From the very beggining to the very end I've enjoyed EVERY second. The game is so intense, even God of War seems to be boring (seriously) So epic when a massive waaaagh attack a Imperial Guard position, so W40K ! The feeling of the game is so GOOD, the weapons sounds greats, the IA is quite good for that kind of game. The storyline is kinda basic but have some interesting elements.

The jump pack sequences are the best I must say, the definition of epicness. Really guys you have made such an amazing work on the campaign.

The multiplayer is HUGE and AWESOME. So many challenges, perks, weapons to unlock, armor and so on. Know I've beat the single player entirely (every achievement) I can play multiplayer for many months (and wait for that coop mode which seems to be so awesome too)

Playing as a space marine with your friends covering your back while runninn into the battle is the wow effect I feel. Very very good, I am level 17 right now, next level I will unlock the Thunder Hammer and it will rocks so hard, I will crush the ennemy of the Emperor ! Not that much blind grenade are used (great news). When you died you can pick the class of the ennemy who kill you, which can help a lot the new player, and there is no level unbalace thanks to that.

The balance between the class is very good, the tactical possibilities are awesome too, but please ADD some new map soon (I know the game is not out everywhere) cuz 5 maps is not enough.

Conclusion: this game is a MUST BUY. I'm not sure I will buy Gears of War 3 now, nothing can beat this epicness. Playing a space marine ... a dream became reality, thanks to you Relic/THQ, very good jobs guys, hope you will add some new things later.
He clarified in a later reply (..that was deleted) that, yeah, even if you are level 1 and haven't unlocked any perks yet, you can still switch to the same loadout as the person that killed you. Also on that note, I remember seeing a multiplayer video where you can pick up another player's weapons/kit...

I really hope he didn't finish the game twice in 9 hours.

The two demo missions take like 20 minutes to complete...Don't expect anything over 8 hours.

But anyway, there are the multiplayer modes to compensate the short campaign. And its hack-slashey nature makes it very replayable.

HEY BROS SINGLE PLAYER IS SHIT BUT THERE IS MULTIPLAYER

...No, I am TIRED of that being used as a excuse for single player being 3 hours of boring banal shit.

I don't mind short as long as it's very good. Max Payne 2 is short but I played and replayed it many times because of its quality.

Sure, long and very good is even better. That's what she said.
