Procgen? No game felt similar to King's Field except Fiend's Isle. A shame that game uses procgen and never will be finished
Procgen games literally CANNOT be like King's Field at all because KF is an Ultima Underworld like which is all about exploring a handcrafted dungeon.Procgen? No game felt similar to King's Field except Fiend's Isle. A shame that game uses procgen and never will be finished

Daggerfall is an Underworld-like based around the exploration of procedurally-generated dungeons (with a small amount of handcrafted content in certain dungeons related to the main quest), with procedurally-generated settlements, and a procedurally-generated overworld (that might as well not exist due to being tens of thousands of square miles in size).Procgen games literally CANNOT be like King's Field at all because KF is an Ultima Underworld like which is all about exploring a handcrafted dungeon.
Yes, I don't consider it an UU-like game for that reason (and other reasons, such as structure - UU is a dungeon crawler focused on one large location; so is King's Field).Granted, it's further removed from Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss than the King's Field games.
