Dear Bloodlines fans,

It’s been quite a while between updates while we’ve had our heads down working on the game. We remain just as dedicated to delivering a great *Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines* game as we were when we announced, and are looking forward to showing you more in September this year.

We acknowledge it was a long time ago that many of you pre-ordered *Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2*. As development continues, we will be updating the game’s editions and bonus content, and we want to provide the best value to those of you who supported us via digital pre-order after all this time. We are thus offering refunds to anyone who has pre-ordered any edition of *Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2*. As part of this process, we are proactively refunding **all** pre-orders of physical products, including the Collector’s Edition. The digital versions of the First Blood Edition, Unsanctioned Edition and Blood Moon Edition remain, but can be refunded if you choose.

We’re excited to show you more and hope to have all of you with us in September when we reveal more. We know you are eager to see how the game is coming along so we’ve put together a fresh batch of screenshots to share with you.

These screenshots look really bad compared to the HSL stuff. Are they really that early into development? Why even bother talking about it? Lighting looks really bad, hope they're not gonna be one of those games that tries to compensate for shitty visuals with raytracing features.

I guess the latest modern graphics look almost photorealistic and all, but what's even the point? We know 99% of the budget went into graphics and the rest of it is gonna be a buggy sucky mess.

I wish more indie devs would do urban fantasy. (Western urban fantasy, before you start name dropping jrpgs.) I can't name any urban fantasy I'm looking forward to other than Moonfall and Nighthawks. Not just vampire protagonist games, but urban fantasy in general.

Not worth hype. Most devs nowdays don't know how to make a good RPGs, especialy when most avoid making content that most player won't see.

Gonna wait the certainly prestine and well worth the wait Review from The Codex. :obviously:

Terribly amused they're calling those "post-alpha" screenshots and not beta. They also missed gamescom by a little bit, oh well. :P

Also it's pretty funny how they know a lot of people were going to be so mad if they weren't at summer game fest so they headed them off by announcing that the proper announcement will be in September.

Announcement in September means they likely anticipate the release will be in December (maybe March at the latest). "Not impossible," he said. This is a low-budget rushjob, likely really hoping that Dan Pinchbeck's story and ideally-competent-but-not-remarkable gameplay will do all the heavy lifting.

They look like pre-rendered backgrounds from a low-budget late 90s game, LOL.

New preorder editions and refunds makes me think most of the old VTMB2 is gone.

They got rid of all the old screenshots on the Steam page and even got rid of the logo to get rid of the guy. They kept the setting and the basic premise, assume everything else is gone.

Goodbye and good riddance to Mr. Damp:

Syberia 1 and 2 both looked pretty damn good.
