Any of the Tomb raider titles worth getting? Seem to recall they all suck except for the download only one.

Also is Risen worth $10?

Is there really that many fans of Tomb raider to have that many sequels? I never met anyone who liked those games yet they allways make new ones.

Risen definetely deserves 10$ and more. A lot of people compare it to graphically enchanced Gothic 1 but I enjoyed it much more then Gothics.

The last Tomb Raider was excellent, the top-down one, go for it if it's on offer.

Finally Risen is on sale, I've been waiting a while. I also got Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which seems kinda cool. For 3ish bucks, I'll take the gamble.

Any Codex opinions on Cities XL?

Picked up Sanctum for $2.50 via grouping and Risen. Even though the 3 activations chaps my ass on Risen, heard a lot of good crap on it so WHILE I'M BEING A SPENDING FOOL I MIGHT AS WELL!

I'll definitely grab Sanctum and want Risen but the TAGES DRM irks me. It doesn't auto revoke so you have to contact them for activation codes. Moreover, I've seen box copies as low as $10 list at Gamestop.

Terrible, buggy, unsupported. Just play Sim City 4.

Muahahahaha!

Well the game received a few patch, so maybe the situation changed since the time it had been reviewed. Indie developpers can be dynamic like that.

Yeah, at the very least it gets good support. Anyway, only two more days of new deals left so I have to stop talking myself out of purchases. I try to go into these things with a budget of sorts. Still hoping Terraria gets a daily but even if it doesn't I'll still probably pick it up for $7.50.

CXL11 is quite alright, I'm rather enjoying it. It's not as buggy as Metro would make it sound really, though. It's not very polished, but still is a pretty good city sim. It's got a reasonably-sized modding community as well. In my personal opinion, it's worth its current discount price. There's a bunch of stuff about it in the "Let the rape continue - new Sim City coming" thread here in GGaming that you can check out for details.

As for Sanctum, there's definitely more than three maps now, a bunch of new turrets and enemies have been added, for the price that they're asking now, it's very very worth buying, especially for cooping (and just today a new patch came out adding 4-player co-op).

Is there a matchmaking system or a browser of sorts, or can you only coop with someone you know already?

Save some money -- GOG is starting a promo tomorrow:

Starting from tomorrow we'll be offering special one-day promos on some of GOG.com's "hidden" gems. These quick promos will be made in a similar way to our usual "GOG.com Gems Promo" that we've been running for some time now. Just like the Wednesday promos, we're going to highlight some of the lesser known classics in our catalogue. With this newspost we're giving you a heads-up that you should check back GOG.com every day until 25th of July. We'll be offering all of the hidden gems of this promo for sale at 60% off, so keep your eyes peeled so you don't miss out on a great deal for a game you've been waiting to buy for months. The first "Summer Hidden Gem" will be revealed tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. EDT (10:00 a.m. GMT)! Be there or be square! ;)

this one?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/35130/

looks interesting, sorta diabloesque viewpoint on it.

and the raziel and kain character pack could be fun, possibly better then the last legacy of kain game.

Yeah, that one. I had a blast with it, the graphics were great, the gunfights were exciting and the weapons had a real nice punch to them, something I don't even see in FPSs these days. Though keep in mind that it can be difficult to manoeuvre some of the obstacles if you're using a keyboard and mouse; a controller would be perfect for those.

I purchased it. $3.50 is a hard price to beat. Also got Risen for $10. Shit better be good.

Todays deals are pretty meh.

Why get Napoleon when you could've gotten Shogun 2 a few days ago. Same with fallout 3 - the superior New Vegas was already on sale.

I guess if you haven't already completed it 7 times, there's Ass Erect on sale.

I already have amnesia and divinity 2. Looks like I might actually go through an entire steam summer sale without buying a single game.

So when are the EA sales usually held. It might be fun to try some EXTREME COLLAR-GRABBING for once.

Your lucky day.

Anyway Divinity II: DKS for $19.99. I know people liked it but do they $19.99 like it?

Were the Mafia games any good?

Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Anyone play this? Looks mildly interesting.

I $9.99 liked it when it was on a better sale about a month ago. I'm not sure I'd pay twice that.

Mafia games were decidedly meh.

Amnesia was quite good - worth getting if you like horror and haven't already gotten it.
