DA2 was released not 2 months ago. Including it in the sale seems so god damn desperate.

Super Meat Boy was 75% off like... under a month after it's release.

Maaaaaaaaan. I'd be all over Section 8 Prejudice if not for GFWL. I find GFWL tolerable for singleplayer games, but it's fucking terrible in my experience for multiplayer.

I know GFWL sucks but I still find it tolerable and I found that they kinda worked out the kinks over time. I'd still be happy to do without but for the price (which is even discounted now!) and the apparent quality of the game (if it's really the same with new stuff, then it's just fantastic), then I can look past it. Honestly I see a lot of people complaining that they won't buy S8P because of GFWL but I'd say try to look past it given the advantages of the game. Maybe the game will tank, which would be a shame for a multiplayer game that tries to get up to 32 people on a same server, but I'm willing to support it at that price. First game was a bit rough around the edges (including GFWL) but it had so many features that it was easy to forgive them.

Bottom-line: if S8P is anything like the first game but better, even marginally, and you like the concept of the two game modes, 32 players per game, highly customisable skills and loadout, and dropping from orbit anywhere on the map instead of simply respawning, then don't let GFWL stop you.

Anyway isn't the Ultimate version of DA:O missing some DLC?

Edit: nevermind, it looks like the missing stuff are just items for pre-order and other crap like that. Hardly a miss. I wonder if it won't be on sale again for summer, and cheaper.

I am interested in getting the game, but GFWL is something i can't support for any thing multiplayer the scars from having to deal with it for DoW2 are to deep.
The game looks fun in a Unreal tournament kind of way so we will see, but for now i still need convincing.

I know, but doesn't this seem different, considering it's EA and all? Not to mention giving ME2 for free with DA2 just a month ago if I'm not mistaken.

What about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AB51xrqp9s ? Guy's voice is a bit annoying at times but at least he shows the various aspects of the game, from customised loadouts to drops to vehicles, and doesn't make too many pauses. Overall it should give you a good idea of what to expect in that game. Again I know that GFWL sucks but hopefully the game should be good enough to go past this annoyance.

Not really. Especially when DA2 is widely regarded as a turkey.

Can't really say as I've never been a fan of racing games. If you are, I suspect they're good. Dunno how much deviation there can be in one from another.

I liked the demo, but I got through the 3 levels in the demo in about 20 minutes. Got a feeling the full game is super short.

Section 8: Prejudice should be available in 8 hours. TimeGate has already announced the new Assault game mode, which should be added when 10 millions kills have been registered, combined from both the Xbox 360 and PC version; there is even a counter on the game's main page. Not a bad way to promote the game, but I hope the new mode is good and that they have other stuff planned shortly after release to keep people interested and build their player base, which the first game failed to do.

S8:P is out. And I can't download it because of bullshit Steam serv0rs. I'll blame GFWL anyway because it sucks.

:rage:

Edit: looks like a mirror problem.

Guess everyone is taking advantage of that whopping 40% off Sims 3.

Yeah, if you ever run into this issue your best bet is generally going to Steam, settings, downloads+cloud, and change your download region until you find one that isn't taking a shit.

Looks like 1,200 people playing on Steam. Wonder if it'll die out like MNC or not. I'm not removing it from inventory to check out the bots. If I like how the bots handle fairly well I'll probably pick it up since I'll know I'll have something in case the community dies.

Yeah, US mirrors have the files. Downloading at my usual max speed from Boston.

Bit sad for MNC, though the last update is rather fun. I guess that what killed the game was the lack of content at the start. It seems that only now the devs are adding more stuff but … too little too late? Shame because it got charm. Not dead yet though but still.

Bots in S8:P should be good from what I heard, though it seems they can be brutal depending on the difficulty setting. They are the antagonist in swarm mode after all.

In Gods name, you play a game like 2 hours and drop it. How can you live with yourself?!

Played S8:P a bit and so far it's hella cool. AI, friendly and hostile, isn't exactly on brian surgeon level but they fill the job nicely. Plus this game is about large scale battles so you likely won't notice what everyone is doing in the middle of the explosions.

Eeh. Tried botmatch with not removed from inventory version and just wasn't really feeling it. Dunno why. I know it would be better with people, but I think I'll skip S8 for now. Especially since I'm still on the fence about Brink.

Tried the demo of Dwarfs!? earlier and liked it, then a Steam bro gifted me a copy so I'll be dicking with that some more. The description on Steam mentions both Lemmings and Dwarf Fortress, and by god that's very loosely what it's like. You don't directly command your dwarfs for the most part, but you guide them a bit and try to stop them murdering themselves. Actually I guess a closer comparison would be a hybrid of Majesty and Lemmings.

And I'm lucky to play a game for 2 hours Orgasm. LOVE 'EM AND LEAVE 'EM *BRO FIST*
