I actually managed to break the plot quest in Maracai Bay and had to start the whole area over. Also, fuck those mini-games.
In case you mean you figured out Corrientes true identity early: it doesn't really __break__ the quest. You simply have to kill him and the other guys and you'll get the artifact and the blood juice to walk through the barrier. This way you can still finish the game perfectly fine. But I agree that the "solution" is a bit borked and doesn't seem properly fleshed out.
Indeed, and I did that, but later found that I never actually got the artifact he was supposed to have after killing + searching him, which broke the game. Also, that whole sequence was just really poorly implemented. There should have been options beyond just the fight if you found him out early, considering how easy it was to do so.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So is there any alternative way for getting Wilson's pistol other than paying the ridiculous sum of 1000 gold? I already got the cannon by sending the girl to Wilson, but I want the extra XP from the pistol quest too. There's a locked door in the gunsmith's house, any way to open it and get the gun from that room?

If you have Jaffa with you, he probably picked the things up.

But yes, along with the sabotage quest it seems clearly like there's sojmething missing for those two.

So, the Treasure Island DLC, from what I understand it adds a new island, is it worth it though? I mean, if I were going to buy the game, is the DLC really worth an extra $10 or whatever it is? Unless it turns out it's absolutely awesome, I doubt I'll pay for that.

Not worth to pay for it, since the DLC is already in the DVD and you can unlock it with simple console commands and it's fully playable. If you pay for it, though, it will download the voice audio files for the DLC (some measly 50mb), but those are also easily obtainable.

DLC = Disk Locked Content.

Jesus, this running simulator is even worse than Risen...
Way to go, dumbing down combat even more. Risen had bows, this piece of shit gives you an immortal meatbag...
At least they added teleporting so I dont get brain aneurisms while pressing W...
Chest minigames! YAY.
Console UI. YAY!
Draw distance of a NES

Fuck you people are morons. AND YOU ASK YOURSELF WHERE THE DECLINE IS COMING FROM.

Thought all 3 bosses were crap - like the Kraken in Witcher 2, but more boring and super-easy. But then, the Titan at the end of Risen 1 was boring as well, as were the Dragons in Gothic 2, etc.

So as someone who liked the first 2 chapters of risen, not the third shitty one.

Play it or not?

Play it.

It's got a couple of smaller islands/areas instead of one big island to explore, but there's still enough exploration and it's still as rewarding as always in PB games.

It's a typical PB game through and through.

There's nothing in it that railroads you to the point that the later chapters in Risen did. There's never really a point where there's nothing new to explore, though some of the areas are a bit less meaty than others. I would say play it.

Got this through Gamersgate and spent all day downloading it. When it finished, I went ahead and said it could delete temp files after installation, so it went ahead and deleted them immediately. Jesus Christ, what a shit service. Currently redownloading. Best part is I bet a torrent would be quicker...

Runs like shit on my 4600, but the game does seem to have that PB atmosphere and exploration that actually matters (As opposed to Bethesda's weak, stretched landscapes) so I can't really praise or criticize it at this point because right now it's just simply 'more PB'.

Guys, how to voodoo-control Butch on Antigua? The only dialogue option I have left is "lure the guy to the cave and try to beat him". I'm sure there's a voodoo option here; even one NPC suggests it. But how to get something from Butch's body? As I said, there's just the luring option in the dialogue, so I can't tear some of his hair out or anything like that. Or should I use the sceptre? Still not enough Black Magic.

And on the topic of a sceptre, how do you control animals using it? I'm currently able to get "into" monkeys; the screen changes to b&w, the point of view changes, but I can't move! What should I do?

And where's that friggin' comb? ;)

Runs reasonably even with shadows on low res on my 8600 GT. I might be even able to do 1280x720 if not that storm on the sword coast.

And where's that friggin' comb? ;)
Are you saying it was important? I didn't take it, and I forgot where is it. I said wow they even have combs...

There should be an option to take a hair from his head if you've talked to the other water carrier who suggests using voodoo on him. You definitely don't have to use a scepter.

I think you first choose a target, then move the little swirling skulls to the enemy you want them to attack, and then click.

And where's that friggin' comb? ;)
It's buried in a chest in Caldera. You need to unlock a chest to find the map for it I think.

If it gets discounted in this year's Steam Summer Sale I'll buy it, if not I'll wait until Christmas, it'll be cheap by then for sure.
