By all the gods this looks fucking horrible as a doom game. Pitifully low amount of enemies, walking speed as slow as realistic military shooter, THAT FUCKING SLOWDOWN ON GUN CHANGE, what the fuck is this bullshit.

I honestly don't think it looks that bad. People are just shitting around here a lot because Bethesda.
Of course, it doesn't look that good either, really pretty much standard and lacking that old school feeling.

Not saying much really. The enemy design looks the same which is not good. The action is slowed down by dumbass kill animations and a weapon wheel of all things. It's like they looked at Brutal Doom and said "We have to copy that shit!" which isn't what Doom is all about. I'm willing to bet we can count on more boring ass corridors like in Doom 3, as opposed to the open level design of the originals. I will give them props for using the severed hand palm reader gimmick that was going to be in the old games but got cut. Thank god the Doom mod scene is still around because this looks like shit. Maybe some people can mod some decent levels into the game.

They're really pushing the Revenant to the forefront of all their showings. Makes me think that it's the only monster they're really proud of.

Some of the other demons I have seen look awful. They used the shitty Hell Knight from Doom 3 as a basis for the new one.

No, it's not even like Brutal Doom because Brutal Doom has shitloads of enemies and is fast as fuck, it's basically just Doom turned up to 11.

Best part is, this is supposedly the third attempt at making the game as the previous two were supposedly so slow, CoD-like and abysmal that the suits agreed it's best for id to kill those projects and just start over.

It's funny how they say that everything gets cut which reduces the speed and then have 10 seconds long weapon pickup animations

Actually I don't mind this kind of shit provided it's SP only and happens only once per weapon per playthrough.

They solved that problem by weapon loadouts and not allowing you to pick up weapons in multiplayer.
