I only have 290 posts though. It's hard to get a handle on this place with so few posts.

Stop bringing blind praising a'la neoGAF here Increasing
At least one place where we can drop shit from our chests and yet there will be some lemming that want us to join the scout camp and kumbayo to praise all AAA infestations.

This shihonage is particularly bad, since he isn't even trying to hide his attempts to promote his indie game by hating on a game he didn't even play.

My game does not sell, because its weird and looks like 1972, but it was created by my love of Doom, and thus I have no problem flaunting where it's more authentic to the Doom experience than this supposed sequel.

In fairness, a few hours is all SamE plays when it comes to games. I think he's still under five hours in Fallout 4.

How much did it sell so far? And did you get through Greenlight?

"painkiller is so bad"

"this game is not as good as serious sam 3 but definitely better than the first two"

:x

credibility = under 0 and still falling
I don't like shitty games, sorry. It doesn't matter that you can stake enemies if the act feels like launching spitballs at them.

It seems ok after a few levels, fast and fluid..glory kills are annoying, doing that shit taking up the screen while other things are after you(but that's probably the point). Game is fine, though as others have said, it's more like a Flying Wild Hog or Croteam or even Bulletstorm new gen 'old school' game than anything really DOOM.
Good to get once in a bargain bin(I'm sharing a friends' Steam copy) but not at full or even half price(even paying half as he did from a key seller is too much for something that seems quite limited is scope and graphically doesn't really advance much since D3).

I watched sexbad's stream, when the player returns to hell is the point of the game where it wears itself out. Cyberdemon should have been final boss.

Can't even get the game to launch. Apparently a lot of people are having this problem as well.

Regarding the enemy limit that people, including myself, theorized about, I think it's possible that the game occasionally places its own monster limit. I think it's not such a bad thing in practice with this sort of level design, since the enemies are very agile, although it's not ideal either and leaves an unfortunate amount of room to breathe.

There is a definite six monster limit in SnapMap though. I fooled around with it at the end of my stream. I placed as many enemies as I could in the map, and I lost count because I suck, but I think the maximum number is 64. When I played it, only six were there at a time. They spawned in the order in which I placed them in the editor, so if I killed two, two more would spawn in their place corresponding to that order.

The UI for the editor is a fucking atrocity that was clearly designed for gamepads, and there's no way at all to customize the shape of a room. Everything is prefabricated with no shape or size parameters. To make up for the fact that you can't personalize shit except for some scripting and coloring, you get entire premade arenas to suck dick in. It's horrible!!!

It's funny, because Doom2 threw shitloads of monsters at you, and they never actually spawned. Back then id software must've understood how cheap and retarded spawning is, but that went away with Doom 3 and onward.

Whenever you did see a monster "spawn" in Doom1/2, it was accompanied by a teleporter noise, because they were actually stored in another part of the map, and triggered to step into the teleporter, thus moving them to player's location.
