BTW, I suppose I don't have to ask if Heavy Rain is any good as a game? I suppose it's a one-playthrough worth as well?

Dunno, I wouldn't be caught dead playing anything David Cage has had anything to do with. I suppose you can take Sterling's word for it: "It's OK as a game, but if it were a movie, it would've been laughed out, ferociously laughed out of any even semi-serious movie festival".

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
OMG, I just watcher like 45 mins with some serious skipping, and this Heavy Rain looks like "The Cuckery That Started it All". Terrible writing, terrible VO, quicktime events to brush your teeth, it's all there  The world would have been better off without David Cage.

Yeah, I love when they're marketing something like that as an interactive movie. You'd assume that there will be some choices and it might change course of events. But no - all 'interactiveness' boiles down to pushing some buttons during you character taking a piss. As a game it's abysmal. As a movie/story it's trash-tier, nothing special, obviously (pretentious however which is annoying).

I've played it long time ago with friends so everyone got a char and guessing who is the maniac was somewhat fun anyway but nothing more. The game is overpraised beyond reason.

AngryJoeShow did a 9 hour Twitch stream on The Last of Us 2 yesterday.

I'm close to the 2 hour mark and it seems my worst fears from the leaks are true.

Looking at the reactions from streamers and people who have already completed the game, it looks like this might be the biggest disconnect between critics and consumers there's ever been.

This might be the biggest disconnect between critics and consumers so far.

(Also I'm hoping you mean only in (console) gaming, because otherwise there are some franchises and media out there that have such sights to show you.)

I’d wait until the end, I think it’s by far the dumbest part.

Finished watching a bit over an hour ago.
I think the ending was a mix of great and ok at times. I agree overall with the ending, but some parts (like the sudden flashbacks of Joel) felt awkward. The flashbacks in general were a big issue I had with this game. I also think that Abby biting off Ellie's fingers was too much and if Ellie didn't play guitar you just know that wouldn't have happened.

But overall I liked it. And with that I'm out of this thread. :salute:

Well, first game was apparently "Citizen Kane", so it just follows that this one is like "Schindler's List". I believe there's jews members of the merchant guild in it so that checks out.

I'm mostly indifferent about the game itself but my shrivelled desiccated heart is filled with hot sticky glee when seeing the reactions of those whiny amoebas who thought the first game was hot shit to begin with and got attached to the terrible Ellen Paige lookalike.

Generic console shovelware is what it was, I forgot about as soon as I quit it in disgust.

And MetaCritic did it once again and DELETED loads of negative TLoU2-reviews, and only allows positive reviews.

Nothing new lol,at least metacritic is smart enough to not delete them all at once, unlike rotten tomatoes with their fixed score that hasn't changed till today . The score was slowly growing up and the negative reviews were going down.

Imagine my shock that a company that basically acts like a media arm of an entertainment company acts like a media arm of and entertainment company. I'm sure they're doing it because dumbasses were joining just to leave a crap review on it. When will people learn that doesn't work and only provides ammunition to attack those who don't do that?

The whole Abbey kills Joel thing shows much about the mindset of SJWs. They can only think in terms of extreme violence. Smashing heads in with baseball bats/clubs/bike locks/whatever seems to be their most favourite kind of action against their percieved enemies.

But in TLoU2? The woman lifts and prepares for the battle of her lifetime... oh no, wait she just let's him get captured and starts smashing his head in while he is helpless. Yeah, THAT part they got right.

And how would a woman handle such a thing like revenge? Sweet, sweet revenge? Well, traditionally she would put on a ton of make up, her best clothes, start to smile, start to flirt, invite her enemy into her privates and then woul either: poison the fuck out of him while smiing and watching him writhe and die in agony, put a dagger into his hart, smiling coldly or get some relatives/friends/random thugs to rape-torture-murder him.

But that would involve rafinesse, elequent story writing, a bit of smarts, imagination and the ability to put all of that into an video game. All these things are absent from SJWs, because they are talentless hacks who got their position by screaming "racist/mysogonist/...phobe" the loudest or because they had a friend of theirs in HR.

Edit: review hacks: "expectations subverted, Game of the Year, 11/10, the (insert random ass movie here) of gamemaking, etc."

Main reason they smash head is that Negan does that. SJWs cannot create, only mock and twist.

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
If nothing else this game proves you can actually polish a turd to a high sheen.

Already done by The Outer Worlds and many more.
TLOU2 is polarizing, technically good with appalling direction and narrative. TOW is a whole different thing entirely. It's more of a lukewarm enema, tasteless amalgam of nostalgic elements to make as wide audience as possible all cozy inside.
