Incline Sundog - now with resurrection!

Sundog was a very lite-RPG, but incredibly deep for a game released on a single sided floppy in the mid 80s. There's been a resurrection project, i.e. remake, being made for many, many years by volunteers and enthusiasts who loved the game.

Finally, just about a Duke Nukem Forever years after starting the project, it's in open beta. So for a slightly buggy and janky Sundog experience, but with enhanced graphics and lots of controversial design decisions that will infuriate many a neckbeard (also many quality of life enhancements) go over to the beta registration page and start a new adventure on the Sundog!

FFS, a NDA for the beta of a fan-remake project? Really?

I played SunDog and would really like a remake, but this is ridiculous.

I know, right? Couldn't tell you why there's an NDA, I went along with it because I was really curious to see what they'd put together. My guess is that they don't want people to shittalk the beta, but fuck if I know.

Still a character creation screen at the start, but they've fleshed out the universe a lot. There's a lot of new information on planets, factions, characters.. worldbuilding. More weapons, armor, gadgets available. Emails convey story elements and there's some more variety in everything, so looks to me like they've beefed up the RPG part of the game ever so slightly.

For a remake-from-scratch, it's trying to capture the essence and feel of the original and from my perspective, it looks good. For larping as a Fan-Solo, it's still Sundog and Sundog was amazing.
