Ok, it can be 2 loading screens depending on if you land inside your ship or spawn at the location directly. The second loading screen is to exit the ship after you have landed. It's not that bad because you can check your surroundings before you decide to stop out and not get into a tough situation.
The biggest problem isn't so much the loading screens as the loading times, above 5 seconds is not acceptible if you have to endure it more often than in 5 mins intervals. My suspicion is console limitations are behind it here, as well as unoptimized rendering.

I don't understand why did they have the sense to mask some loading screens with animations (taking off/landing I assume is used for that) but not others.

Look at loading screens in FNV though. From today's perspective they are near-instant. If neither Bethesda nor modders do anything to optimize the engine, that may chase off a significant portion of the "community", and then the whole game will go down the drain. I'd say they have until November-December, or people will move on from the game by January and Todd will have to walk the path of Cyberpunk until he restores interest in the game.

Are you using an SSD?

Honestly, I only saw the issue with loading screens when rushing early parts of the story because I used Tab, R, X (Hold) to quickly travel to the quest location, then it was a lot of them back to back. But using an SSD it usually loads pretty fast, ymmv.

Don't think I ever got past 5 seconds. Most of the time it's like 2, edge cases will take 4-5. Running on NVME.

What the heck, you can't set custom resolution full screen? There's actually no real full screen option for this game? It's either windowed or windowed pretending to be full screen? WTF
Say thanks to Microsoft for that, there is no exclusive fullscreen mode in DirectX 12 at all.
Maybe one of the reasons barely any games use it despite it's 8 years old already.
That annoying "shader generation" which can take anythin from 3 to 30 minutes every time you change drivers, settings or just at random is also one of its gimmicks.

The shills can't even follow their own headcannon. If they could, they'd all be praising Starfield for having ultimate potential for patches, expansions, and QoL improvements in the future.

But instead, there's more views and ad revenue to be made by doing "Look everyone, A Bethesda game is Janky!" reaction videos while simultaneously getting themselves ready to shill the disaster that was Cyberpunk 2077 after 3 years of patches and an expansion pack later. Where will Starfield be in 3 years? I don't think these retards can think that far ahead.

and now i want to replay
all these monster drop the same loot tho. It's the same crafting materials. All the real loot drops from space raiders and in chests etc. The fact that there are so many plants and aliens and all of them drop the same 10-20 items is kind of lackluster

This isn't DX9-11 era anymore, grandpa. Vulkan is the same. Incompetent devs botching implementation is a different matter.

I just love the amount of copium that y'all are injecting into your veins. A loading screen is a loading screen regardless of how long each load is. There are far better space games out there with zero loading screens that allow you to go from ground to space seamlessly. I always highlight Empyrion Galactic Survival since it does everything from an indie studio with far less budget than Bugthesda.

Empyrion has its own problems but nothing compared to what Cottonfield does.

you can fast travel from anywhere (if not near enemies or over-encumbered) to anywhere in the galaxy in a previously visited solar system, how can accomplish that without loading screens

Well, perfomance is better in exclusive modes supposedly.
Also while using resolution other than native is meaningless for modern displays, refresh rate lock to that of the desktop is not convenient. I personaly use 60 hz for the desktop (less power, less heat for the display), but prefer 90-120hz for games.

Depending on what you want from it, Cyberpunk can be "fixed with mods". My bar is low - I want to roam around the world, clear out "bandit camps" a la Witcher 3, and deck out my charater with cool equipment, ride around the city on a bike listening to 80s pop and rock.
- Fun combat - achievable with rebalance mods, improving enemy netrunners, stealth gameplay, etc
- Functional wanted system - the mod for that exists, it's actually a side-feature of the mod "Vehicle Combat"
- Cars and customization - don't care much about it but it's a nice to have bonus

At some point I'm pretty sure Starfield will reach the fixed-with-mods stage, especially if someone scripts minigames related to taking off/landing procedures, and makes space combat more involved. I'd love to be able to go in outer space for urgent repairs to the ship as well... The jank will remain but gameplay has the potential to be fixed with mods.
Mods never fixed FO3, Skyrim or FO4. They will not fix this either. Stop being delusional.

it's nice that when you are attacking an enemy camp and you are wounded in the middle of combat, you can just take a nap in a bed for an hour and be at full health again without having to leave combat and it just resumes again :lol:

Is this Monster Hunter?
No because the monsters only drop generic crafting components and all share the same loot table from what I've seen. There does not seem to be a reason to hunt down specific monsters, unless you want to complete the planet's scan data.
