I'm finally getting better at this, having more fun:
I see this weakspot skin you scum!
To be honest, I'm considering using a weakspot skins to learn the weakspots on tier 9-10 as the added critical damaged can change a lot in those tiers.
- French light and medium tanks AMX 12t, AMX 13 75, AMX 13 90, Lorraine 40t, Bat Chatillon 25t moved 1 tier up
- Based on statistics results, we've rebalanced (mainly nerfed) some parameters of French TD's and SPG's added in 7.4.
- Credit income and repair cost rebalanced for some tanks
- Say goodbye to some of your moneymakers (fix'd)
- Based on statistics results, we've rebalanced (mainly buffed) some parameters of the second USSR Heavy Tank line: Т-150, КV-3, КV-4, SТ-1, IS-4.
How is the game at the moment. I've bailed out when 7.4 came out, since there was fucking massive performance drop with the update. Is it any better now? If not, I'm sticking with War Thunder.
Far better than invisible walls, but most propapbly it would cause a lot of collision bugs and unleash unspoken nightmares upon the players. Even now it's possible to get stuck on an innocently looking fragment of map. I guess they'd have to redesign all maps, once again. The future of WoT
They should have included physics from the start instead of whatever garbage they started with (haven't played since beta).
They changed how MM works, a med. tank will only play at most 2 tiers above it.I've played some WoT recently and is it me, or match maker is a bit better these days?
I highly recommend my clan: Road Not Taken (RNT). If you don't have a Tier X, they'll probably set you up in one of our off-shoot clans (RNT-P or RNT-R) but they're on TeamSpeak every day and will either try and run a company (or two, depending on how many are on) or platoons with count-downs (everyone hits "battle" at the same time and you often end up in the same match. We've had games where there are like 20 RNT guys in the game split amongst both teams). At the moment I'm grinding a T28prot, IS-3 and T20. Looking for a good clan to platoon and TC with.
I've never had an issue. Mind you I am on a premium account (for the extra XP and cash) but I've never bought premium ammo - it's a complete waste of money. WoT really is a game where you need to learn the weak points of every tank you're up against. Where you shoot is critically important. But once you figure it out, you know how to take on most tanks / TDs without too many problems - even from front-on. If you're expecting to just point your gun in the direction of that E-75, shoot it where-ever and penetrate, then you'll be in for a world of pain. Unless you're flanking and getting on the sides and asses of things, you've got to learn the weak points.I need to find a new game though, WoT is set up like a casino, the odds simply aren't in your favor, especially at the higher tiers (unless you want to drop $50 a month). It really is designed for guys who work long M-F hours and want to trade cash for wins on the weekends.
Great business model for WG, bad for players who want a level playing field.

Yeah, I think the worst is behind me. If I get into KBEAR I'll be getting 1k gold per week, which should cover premium, premium tanks, gold rounds etc.

So, clans supply their members with gold from the Clan Wars? Kewl. Didn't know it's that much, though.
I have witnesses. Also, most of those kills came after my entire team had been killed. Really, we should've had this match in the bag. We were full tier 10's against Tier 8's and other shit but for some reason, when we don't have a commanding officer on the field (this was just a Company battle) and half the team is drunk, our play goes to shit. I stayed on base defense thinking we;d be fast-capped, instead I got to watch their arty take our guys apart.
KBEAR will pay you more than RNT. We're a casual fun clan. They reimburse for gold ammo spent during clan matches but it's unusual to get any regular Gold payment. Our "problem" is we don't do diplomacy. So we fight our way onto the map, get bored, fight everyone around us until everyone turns on us and kicks us out, then land somewhere else and do it again. Best we've had is a fair chunk of Turkey and Bulgaria and were making 17k per day or something like that (allied with Havok until, well, we got bored and they booted us off ). We're currently up in Norway but I haven't played clan matches for months - they're never on at the right time for me which is the main problem. It becomes a daily commitment and if you have just one day (usually a week day) where you can't field a full two or more teams, you usually lose something. Thanks for the info. I've been rolling with KBEAR for about 3 weeks now (I'm in KBK, soon to have a T10 tho). Is RNT on the EU server? I've been enjoing platooning and TCs, hope to start doing clan battles in a week or two when I get my IS-7.
So... Anyone still play this?
