Will it have cards?

I hope not, I would prefer sticks.

In other news, I totally forgot to ask if someone is interested in a Steam key to play on release day. I can offer two (I'll prudently hold on to the last). I'll check back in, say, 8 hours.

Not sure if you have to be at least 2008 old or 2000 posts+ to beg around here, but I, nonetheless, keep my frail Easter-European hand drawn for the scraps from the big-shots table to fall. Maybe my children will have a Shadowrun bone to chew on today. As in: memememe.

Shadowrun Returns is really cool, but I wish they would let you manually save, autosaves are placed 15~ minutes apart. :(

Wheeeeeeeeeee

Yesterday one guy said he already finished it, but he's already deleted the tweet. :M Probably realized it made them look bad to have an official campaign so short. :P

It is kind of worrying that they are lifting the review embargo on release day.
It's to prevent reviewers from playing a couple of hours and rushing out a review to be first.

Credit cards are part of the entire mindset of unlimited and careless consuming that lies at the root of the last crisis. They're shit and I for one am happy to see they're not as prevalent over here as in the Kwa.

Prepaid credit cards are getting more popular in Europe though.

A prepaid credit card is fully paid off when you get it and won't lead you into debt though .

Golly Gee Geepers, I might lose 15 minutes of progress if I play the game like a jRPG manchild.

You are all forgetting the most important question about the upcoming release:

Will it have cards?

Your prayers have been answered!

I'm so glad that they are "looking into it." What a wonderful use of their time!

Ok, if I get any more snarky I might start talking with a lisp.

Who cares if they do it postlaunch, its a ONE artist/designer job, im sure they can fit it in someones schedule. Besides they get a cut of every card sale for their game so it's like printing money .

If the level editor is good then I'd sure like a key.

God dammit. What is wrong with people? Also, people mention adding Steam achievements to the game. I just don't get it.

But you're always going to have a few cents left over on one you can't spend, and need to keep buying new ones, etc. Also, credit cards offer far more purchase protection for you than prepaid cards do (such as if you pay for a product but never receive it and file a complaint with your credit card company).

Nothing wrong with credit cards. The problem is people who can't control their spending and who buy things they can't afford. Protip: it's not hard to just not buy something until you have the money for it.

Debit cards, everyone has. I dunno how it is in the US but even online purchases here are made the same way, via the "ideal" system, where you just wire the money straight from your bank account, no extra fees or anything. I order everything I buy in the Netherlands with ideal, and even Steam supports it. I'd much rather us it or PayPal for small purchases than my credit card, it just doesn't make sense to me to use a credit card for small purchases like those, which I would prefer to just pay straight away.
Debit cards offer you far less protection than credit cards. Getting your bank to refund your money spent with a debit card vs. a credit card, especially an online transaction, is going to be much more difficult in many cases. Credit card companies often respond to theft and unauthorized transactions within the hour and will usually contact any involved parties on your behalf, rather than leaving you to sort it all out yourself and "maybe" get your money back.

I do not see why you would need a credit card in that case. When my bank was trying to make me get a credit card from them and they described to me how it would work it seemed needlessly complicated when compared to my normal debit card - even when they automated the payment process from my account to the credit card.

For some gamers out there it's all about achivments, high scores of this era.

Yeah, that's fucked up. I hear there's something called "GamerScore" or something similar on one of the consoles, which basically totals up all one's achievement points over all one's games - I mention this because I've heard of people buying games for no other reason than to boost this score. I.e. there are actually individuals out there who spend actual cash money just to boost a number attached to some online profile - apparently having a large number of achievement points really impresses the ladies or some shit. I don't get it, personally - but like they say, there's one born every minute.

And yeah, here in the third world (Estonia) pretty much everybody uses debit cards as well. I have a credit card for buying shit online, but I haven't ever used it in the real world. That said, getting a credit card is fairly simple nowadays, if you have an income, so I don't think it's that big of a deal (i.e. if you need one to buy shit online, just get it - it's not a huge hassle).

If you don't understand the point(s) of a credit card, you probably live in your moms basement.

I believe you'll find that a lot of people who were initially enthusiastic about credit cards would love to have a basement to live in, instead of the curb they are currently residing on. Not saying that credit cards are inherently evil, but the banks, especially in the U.S. trump up their indispensability, as seen by your post and many others, while a lot of people have a very comfortable life without every having one.
