Doubt he will mention the woke shit.
Only when someone else mentioned it:

I think it is quite telling that his only argument here is that just because employees who both know that they have no future in the industry if they go against American cultural imperial hegemony and that that he, the guy they were talking to, is an extremist political activist, won't bring it up. if there is something these people love it is bringing up studies, bibliographies, citations and hard data to prove their points.

This supposed scoop where anonymous "developers" say what everyone already knew and Schreier could just have sourced this from himself or reddit or 4chan might be lacking on that front, but he really has nothing at all to point to when it comes to what role turning their game into American ideological kulturkampf actively hostile to the audience.
Woke or Not Woke wasn't a factor.
This boy is a riot, picks a handle about how he wants to punch anyone non-conforming to his extremist ideology in the face on behalf of the American establishment, doesn't give any sources for this wild claim that gamers don't care if they remove all sex appeal from Harley Quinn or turn Deadshot from White to black, or the trademark cringe writing of his ilk. Yeah, sure, I bet the audience couldn't wait to be insulted by mouthbreathers like you in their escapist video games. I'm sure you have many peer reviewed studies to back that up, right? Or can't you guys be bothered to fake paper trails anymore?

So the second "season" hit with Mrs. Freeze. Unlike the Joker released earlier her movement is trash, and the ice flows she generates are just for her and melt th second she's done with them. You'd think creating ice walls by grinding around could really help your team but no, they just vanish. The new chunk of the map is also just... well, a square chunk stapled on. And the final fight is once again Brainiac but he takes on the powers of a villain you already beat before.

Aka, game's still ass and shows no signs of improving.

Ah, that guy. I'm practically a nobody over on Twitter with less than a hundred followers and he went out of his way to block me. I'll consider it a badge of honour, though it's both sad and hilarious that so many of these journalists are so weak willed that someone making a passing comment and an entirely polite and civil one at that, causes them to retreat deeper into their own little echo chamber.

The last year-plus for Warner Bros. Games hasn’t been the best for the company, and Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav admits that. During the company’s latest earnings call on November 7, Zaslav said that the games business is “substantially underperforming its potential”.

This comes after financial disappointments such as MultiVersus and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lost the studio more than $300 million this year alone. Now, Warner Bros. Games is going to put more emphasis on its most successful franchises moving forward.

“I think we’re through some of the worst — and it hasn’t been pretty — on the gaming business,” Zaslav said during the call. “But we have four games that are really powerful and have a real constituency that love them, and we’re going to focus on those four primarily. We’re going to go away from trying to launch 10, 12, 15, 20 different games. I think we have a real chance now with focus to have the gaming business be steadier.

He added: “We have four strong and profitable game franchises with loyal, global fans: Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, and DC, in particular, Batman. We are focusing our development efforts on those core franchises, with proven studios to improve our success ratio.”

Let me guess... Batman now with Souls combat.

Seems more likely it’s be Batman games that play like Arkham.

Automated combat was the cool thing at Assassin's Creed's 2006 press conferences. Arkham Asylum came out three years later. Now Souls combat is in. Even indies are copying it. If I'm not mistaken, Assassin's Creed and Spider-Man are the only ones left. All these corpos do is follow the current thing. So, taking a wild guess that Batman's player will be locked out of the camera controls after pressing R3 and primary actions will be on top rather than on the face of controller.

Unless Assassin’s Creed has gone back to it, Assassin’s Creed hasn’t had “Assassin’s Creed combat” since Origins I think it was. Maybe Mirage went back but I don’t know.

But since people really seem to like Arkham combat, and are probably wanting it even more than ever since the Suicide Squad game, they probably go back to something more like Arkham for Batman.

I’d expect them to move more towards a more traditional action game combat system more than I could see them doing Dark Souls. Although they could use Azreal Batman to do some Dark Souls type thing... probably more Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice than Dark Souls.

I would prefer it if it played like an actual character action game instead of some shitty autopilot crap where the game does what it wants.
I played Knight recently and I found the combat sequences to be frustrating. If you're going to have a combat system where your character automatically engages enemies off camera, don't have enemies that interrupt your combo and damage you when you hit them. Or have button combinations that don't fucking work because they're context sensitive and you're not in the exact sweet spot.

I mostly don't care much for "character" action. I would copy elements of Streets of Rage (like the focus on spacing and positioning without a relying on a dodge), adapt them to 3D, with optional Z-targeting, and proper manual platforming and stealth part of the action rather than separated.

Then Spider-Man is the only one left, and Spider-Man 2 sold pretty well. I wouldn't bet any money on Batman copying Souls combat, but I don't think the idea is so out there when you consider how boring the AAA industry has become.

This has been such a tremendously staggering flop, leaving the studio so desperate for players to prop up their metrics that it has been given away for free on the Epic Store to all Amazon Prime holders (within the first six months of release) and now, still within the first year, Epic is selling its Digital Deluxe Edition, normally priced at $99.99...

...for $4.99.

For the sake of meaningful comparisons, games released within the same quarter and their lowest retail price to date:

Persona 3: Reload - $69.99 discounted to $40.00
Helldivers 2 - $39.99 discounted to $32.99
Dragon's Dogma 2 - $69.99 discounted to $32.31

It's true. I actually ended up getting this thing for free twice and gave one of them away here... and I still can't be assed to play it. I don't know what it would take to get me to boot it. Like I'd have to be paid, but the question, without irony, is how much.
