Sounds like you had a stroke if you're looking forward to DA3.
Nah, DA1 was pretty good except for fucking deep roads, and eventhough DA2 sucked, they had lot more time and have lot better engine to make DA3, so it might end up good again.

Anything that *might* resemble a good game with solid gameplay will be immediately shattered by Bioware's incompetent writing. There's bad writing that can be ignored (Bethesda), and then there's really cringeworthy and offensive writing (Bioware).

Oh, ok. My opinion is now changed thanks to your eloquent argument.
i'm too lazy for eloquence, plus the fact that they tried handling themes such as rape in a game with lameass jokes like this or the camp conversation with morrigan about dog sniffing her panties, the typical bioware plot structure, the ancient evil awakens story, the shitty action rpg mechanics, and the mostly spanning tree map designs (gods how i hate those) speak for themselves.

Why are you fuckers talking about Bioware in the "Piranha Bytes? More like GRBG (German Really Bad Game) men" thread?

I would say more WoW inspired, really. It's a typical RtwP system but with spells tweaked to feel more MMO-y than D&D-y. I wouldn't call that "action RPG" stuff.
wow is heavily diablo influenced, so it boils down to the same thing. it is action rpg in a more literal meaning of the term, as in mechanics that emphasize action and combat over a logically coherent emulation of a world.

Also, stop littering this thread with fucking Dragon Age. There's a dedicated thread for that shit, this is where we talk about decent games.

Hi-hi-hi ... no. Go back to your cave. Please.
If you think I'm not going to be around when this turns out to be as or more disappointing than Risen 2, you're expecting too much.

It won't, if only because people were hoping for another Risen 1 when Risen 2 was about to be released, and they did not get it, hence the disappointment.
Now expectations are much lower, so the disappoitnment, even if it happens, won't be as big.

Ok, I'll accept Risen was a decent game, but Risen 2? And really, will Risen 3 be?
