Final Trailer, what's interesting is that the game is being worked on by the director of Fire Emblem Binding Blade and Path of Radiance, the co-writer of MGS series (Fukushima) and the composer of Bayonetta

The atmosphere looks cool, and it seems like they may actually create this game for adults and not 12 year olds ...

which means it will probably fail in current market.

Still, keeping an eye on this one.

"Redemption Reapers is an effective iteration of the Fire Emblem formula. While the game is not perfect, it does effectively enough that I think that players who appreciate Fire Emblem-style games will find a lot to like. Those who are more skeptical of that style of the game are unlikely to find Redemption Reapers to be an innovative enough title to change their mind.
Personally, I liked but didn’t love Redemption Reapers. I think in a year where there was a lower density of exciting tactical and strategy games, I would be a bit more enthusiastic about exploring Redemption Reapers deeply, but as it is, I fear that the game is going to get swept past. It is close but didn’t quite do enough to justify intense play in a time period when so many fantastic tactical games are being released."

Tell me this is not written by AI.

This is a good game. Just picked it up and am few hours in and it's a decent squad based tactical rpg. The negative reviews are from dufuses not knowing how to play the game thinking its too difficult. The price is a bit high but it's same as kotc2.

Sometimes I feel bad for the developers - the game is 40% off right now on Steam, 3 months after the release. It must have sold 'great' it seems.

This is the quintessential 6/10 game. Graphics are decent enough, it's mildly challenging (at least in the first few missions, it could get much harder later), the mechanics are simple but they work fine and do basically what you'd expect them to (as opposed to games that have bizarre mechanics that are unintuitive and may or may not do anything at all).

What stands out to me though is the mixture of cringe writing and voice acting that sounds like the D-list rejects from Batman auditions. Between the voices and some of the intense mongoloid looking expressions, I've burst out laughing more than once already and I only played about an hour and a half of the game. Not sure I'm going to power through this one, but maybe they'll manage to refine a follow up into something better, if there is one.
