Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Isn't G2A a shitty scam?

It's not. Except their "protection shield" or whatever. That is a total scam. Don't buy it.

Anyway a crossbreed of SS2 and Half-Life sounds way too good. Holding off on the game for now. Still remember when Bioshock Infinite came out, everyone was jizzing themselves and now everyone just wants to forget those embarrasing moments. Hype is a terrible thing.

I hold off from buying anything Bethesda these days purely on principle because it's always a better deal to just wait for GOTY instead of getting shekel'd with DLC. Arkane is already an offender with Dishonored in which case it still comes out cheaper to just re-buy the goddamn game in form of the complete edition instead of just two pieces of DLC I want. Not happening.
I agree but that's pretty much what every publisher does these days, how is Bethesda different? Other than having started everything with horse armour, of course.

I'm going to get an aneurysm from all of the people describing this as "Bioshock in space".

Watched ACG's review. The guy's a bit easy on games for my taste, but he's also pretty honest and goes into reasonable depth. His comparison with SS2/Deus Ex, noting that it was less of a ridiculous power fantasy than Dishonored, was promising and the story/environment sounds intriguing. Still not sold on the depth of the upgrade system.

If it runs well on PC, gets a hardcore mode, and goes on sale I'll think about getting it.

EDIT: Performance Review on PC on a few graphics cards:

They do. Game costs *only* 34 dollars in Russia.
Which is still 50% more expensive than Mankind Divided on release, and 300% more expensive than Human Revolution on release. It's a good thing the wages in Russia went up four times in the last half-decade, huh?

Beth doesn't do season passes and doesn't really discount DLC until the "definitive editions".
[edit]Infinitron sorry for not being up to Fallout 4 / Doom 4 I guess. There was no pass for Dishonored 1/2 or Skyrim, so it's not like I had no reasons.

A smidgen of conflict in the feedback so far:

it has the potential to be on par with SS2.

Honestly this game looks like the inside of an empty fridge, like it has even simpler textures than Mirror's Edge. Were they developing this for the last gen or what?

:hmmm:

Complaining about the textures when the game offers several good systems (combat, stealth, crafting, hacking and so on) is retarded.

PC version runs like butter. Playing with an old GTX 670 on high settings 1080p and no frame rate issues.

Just reached Pychotronics. Enjoying the game but I'm mad I can't fucking change the FOV because I happen to not have any game.cfg file. :negative:
(C:) -> Users -> Your computer name -> Saved Games -> Arkane Studios -> Prey -> game.cfg

Yes but the Prey folder is empty (not even hidden files)...

Try to disable Steam Cloud, launch the game, save once, exit, and look again.

I have no idea why the game wouldn't write game.cfg for you. Try to verify cache in Steam, otherwise I've no clue what's going on.
