"Guess I'm next". Marcán attempts to cross the roped deathtrap.

There should be a bit of rope betwen Borric and Rhenmyr, right? If so, Marcán has a hand on the rope that connects the two.

Currently only Rhenmyr has tied himself to the rope-end and the rope stretches back to Borric who is presumed to have belayed him in some manner (throwing a bight of rope in a loop over a post-end where the bridge is tied off is the most sensible way). So how you wish to proceed is up to you - describe what you're doing in other words.

Marcán tries to walk across the bridge without any attempt of manipulating the rope that tethers Rhenmyr.

For what it's worth, I imagined tethering the far end. Borric tethering the other end. Then there's some to hold onto even in the bridge fails. Then Borric could tie the rope around himself for his crossing.

Once across Rhenmyr sets the rope for the others to use in case of emergency.

Oooooh, damn!
As Márcan picks his way across the bridge, something goes terribly wrong. About halfway across and no warning, the rope under one of your hands groans and there's a sickening a *snap* You start to keel over to your side as you lose your balance, but luckily there's a rope that your companions thoughtfully tethered to either side and you've got a chance to grab at before catastrophe strikes.
Here's where you roll a Dexterity check [3d6+Level+Dexterity Modifier] You want less than or equal your Dexterity . . . FWIW, if there hadn't been a rope this would have been a 5d6 Dexterity check

Márcan reaches out in desperation and grabs hold of the tether between Borric and Rhenmyr and manages to pull himself upright.

What do you wish to do?

Márcan carefully creeps across the rope bridge and reaches the other side without incident. The rope that served as a handrail broke off at the knot on Rhenmyr and Marcán's side of the gorge and now hangs limply from the post next to Borric.

Cormac takes his turn and he also manages the nerve wracking crossing without incident. Only Borric is left on the other side.

"Might as well." Borric makes his way across the bridge, after tying the rope around his waist.

ooh. That could have been ugly. Question nikolokolus : Dexterity check [3d6+Level+Dexterity Modifier] You want less than or equal your Dexterity. This looks like level and ability modifier make the check harder. If we're trying to roll under a number shouldn't ability and level subtract from our total? Or am I missing something?

Aaargh!!! You're right, I meant to say that your Dexterity modifier and level are a bonus, so in this case subtract from the roll. In any case no harm no foul, but I'm going to go ahead and award everyone 50 XP for overcoming a fairly nasty obstacle.

ERYFKRAD If you are going to untie the rope and try to walk across I need you to roll a 3d6 Dexterity check (MINUS your dexterity modifier and level) . . . there is nothing to really hold on to without your rope. To grab ahold of the other rope-rail would put your center of gravity well outside of the braided rope that you want to walk across - you'd effectively be doing a tightrope walk on a foot wide woven rope, if you leaned out to hold on to that rail, with your rope strung across its not an issue.

Borric peers down into the yawning chasm - easily a hundred or more feet deep and smirks. He then cinches the end of his rope around his waist and then places one foot in front of the other, nimbly balancing on the swaying bridge and calmly walks across, before leaping off the last three feet, landing squarely on his feet.
Like a motherfucking boss! Salud!

Kurgan gonna Kurgan. Not much of a risk once you realise there's only two rolls of the die what can screw you, 16 and maybe 1?

The steep wall out of the gorge proves to be a strenuous, but thankfully short hike. As with the other hill behind you are greeted with a ring of menhirs as you crest the hill. However, this ring is different, instead of a cromlech (arch) a single rectangular obelisk about fifteen to twenty feet tall of stone protrudes from the center of the ring. Your ears prick up when you hear a sound of rattling chains and the unmistable sound of somebody grunting with effort.

You walk around the obelisk you are greeted with an unexpected and startling sight. Dangling from a set of manacles, set into the obelisk is a raven haired woman stripped naked, save for intricate patterns of blue woad painted on her body and a fierce expression of anger and no small amount of fear. When she spots you she shouts at you in a defiant tone in a language that sounds vaguely Keltic, but the dialect is unknown to you.

Borric slowly points at the woman's shackles and at the party and shakes his head, attempting to indicate that he and his friends were in no way responsible for her predicament.

"Bard, Priest, are these woad patterns of any tribe you recognise?"
