Also, FWIW I want there to be either in this or in the expansion more levels where there are edges like the first image that are elevated above water so you're over cliffs, plateau's, and valleys and not just on a flat level of ground. It would be nice if they scale some levels so it looks like you're walking up a cliff or mountain so it looks like mobs could roll rocks down on you as you ascend.

verticality is a problem for isometric (axonometric) games because in that perspective, objects don't get larger or smaller if they move closer or further away. its v. easy to end up with impossible architecture

I think they said something about Unity not playing well with elevation.

If it's that much of a problem, you can always use DoF or something like that to suggest differences in altitude. Didn't Super Mario World do something like that when you were up in the clouds?

Sometimes you can use those Escherian paradoxes as an opportunity. Remember the Arcane Sanctuary level from D2?

Perfect, yes! That's all I'm asking for, It's not hard to do, you just have to create a distinguished foreground and background or vice versa and have something else inside to give a sense of scale.

Just bought a copy on nuuvem for my brother (because thats what big brothers do), thanks to Irenaeus doing his best to devaluate brazils currency, it was a cool 1 euro to 3 reais. The hero edition ended up costing 20 euros.

Its slightly frustrating that i backed this (at a rather high tier), but that the press and random Youtubers get to play it from tomorrow. While everyone else backers included has to wait till Thursday. Totally get the marketing aspect from Obsidian's point of view. Would have been nice for backers to get it slightly early though.
broken age let backers at it early and it turned out to be a bad idea
I don't see how. The bad idea was making a simplistic game for children and spending most of their money on animations.

They also didn't do an extended beta like Obsidian did. So no one say the game before then, 10s of thousands of people have already played PoE. The only reason to hold back now is that the game isn't actually done (gonna be a day 0 patch), and that journalists—in general—have more experience playing unfinished games and adjusting their expectations.

Giving it to backers early means someone will leak it on Usenet/Bittorrent and Obsidian will lose a bunch of sales from people who are happy to pay but also want to play it ASAP. It's why the game industry is so focussed on stopping day-0 leaks - ensuring a pirated version isn't available until after release (even if it's only a few hours after) is worth heaps of sales from the demo which sometimes buys and sometimes pirates - whichever is more convenient.

Sounds fine now, though the music could still be a little less loud. Your breathing is also very prominent, but that's part of the charm.

I was watching your stream, but then as soon as you got out of character creation, it felt like watching a girl you like with some other dude (with a fat red haired dwarf). Couldn't cope, had to close.
