I bought this on sale, and I must admit I'm starting to warm to it (only played a few hours so far though). I really like the doomy, Lovecraftian perfume to the whole thing (I never played Apocalypse, but I gather that was similar in this regard?), and contrary to the general opinion I think the "music" really supports that atmosphere and is very good for what it is. Voice-acting is honestly the weakest link for me so far, and that's pretty trivial.

At any rate, the game seems to be functional, and I like the rather looser, more simulationist feel it has compared to the more binary, chess-like feel of nuXCOM (which is also good but in another way - in fact I actually thought the first nuXCOM game with its really tight binary rules and strict limitation on resources and toys, was a better game than the subsequent iterations, which seemed to want to be more simulationist but weren't really set up for it).

not only that (which might be, *might be*, due to a random selection among many unnatural colors), 90% they also have switched names, and that's worringly consistent.

Thats just the pure randomness at work - there's nothing that links a name to a gender, so it'll just pick it utterly random and thus you get the results we see. I'd apply Hanlon's razor here.

Game also generates duplicate names without checking anything.

Is it me or do operatives appear to have blue, purple, green hair way too often? What is this gay shit? Where does it come from?
I agree, if you randomly generate you will get a lot of neon green/pink. I still use random generation, but manually switch away from all the super bright colors. This isn't power rangers.

this games colors suck, its like its stuck on the "color blind" option and only the most horrible neon flaming skittle colors are availible. They look awful, nothing at all like what new XCOM offered, I really can't understand what they re thinking here, there is no point at all to messing around with the soldier painting function at all.

A mistake, or intentional? Never forgot Woketech 2018 preventing you from creating blonde characters (until it was patched in, supposedly), plus a similar "bug" which also happened in ME(h) Andromeda.

Having your recruits be dangerhairs more often than not seems to be continuing the trend.

There will be more DLCs for this game or it's done? May buy it but I need to know if more stuff is planned and I have to wait for the complete package

Their plan has changed a few times without much coverage, but IIRC there's 3 more planned DLCs. One that'll add an airgame and 2 others.

so i started the synedtion moon rocket project but its bugged and the countdown is stuck at 5 more days to finish (it started at 6 days 12 days ago).
this and the ranscaked base bug makes me regret buying the game. it really needs 1 more year of bugfixing and gameplay additions from the next dlcs.

Are you sure you have all the resources? If I remember correctly, you can use items that are beiing used for research.

the moon rocket project is made in a random synedrion facility, you cant interact with it exept indirectly by not allowing synedrion heavens with reaserch facilities get destroyed.
currently it seems its bugged.

I done that mission multiple times and it never bugged out. You can just save the game, ignore all other events and speed up time to max and see if it completes.
Also go around other Syn havens in the area and repair all their buildings, those speed up this building build time.

Animation speed up options coming soon.
This is such insanity.
If I developed a turn-based game, the first fucking thing I'd implement with the turn-based system itself would be the option to speed it up.
Even if I didn't care about wasting the players' time, think of the time (and thus money) savings for QA...
