No, I don't care enough about his opinion to ask him anything.
you could run a parteh of 2 women who only liked pink, a raging feminist, and your first 2 good companions? weak willed scoobydoo man and nagging aunty wife

and u know what

she was a fighter
at least half of her class.

and Dynaheir was black. (and so was paladin in diablo 2)
Not the same.

I talked about this in a previous thread: when you know the people writing the game are political and like to insert their politics into their writing, it taints everything. Not only does it taint it in all the ways they mean to, but now every decision must be viewed through the lens of "is this for wokeness?".

Dynaheir and the D2 paladin weren't added for political reasons that we know of. Neither was Jaheria or Imoen for that matter. We don't even expect that they were because the devs at the time didn't make a big deal about race or politics.

The people who wrote this are just bad writers. They let their politics taint their writing and openly call their fans bigots when they complain about it. That's a lot different from anything in BG2.

Hahahahaha for fuck's sake! Phew. I've seen this uh, character itt even but seeing it for yourself is truly something else, meaning the cut-scene before that first and foremost. Jesus fuck...

I'm starting to really have fun. More pozz! Keep it fucking coming!
Oh so I laughed before seeing the best part everyone was talking about (her being wife of the wounded incompetent girl). Yep guys, this game is completely pozz-free and not-in-your-face. It's all good. The haters and bigots can go fuck themselves.

Game itself speaking - over-leveling made the last part indeed very easy - facerolled the boss, looking forward to the end of the chapter at last.

So you are saying, if people would present u with black paladin in game, but state nothing, you and other very apolitical gamers would not say a thing?
just like with, say, idk, a black ranger in PKM? :shittydog:

Also, it wasn't much about politiks, but that AB is surprised that in Pathfinder, demon beheads dragon and he meets a fox mage. Whats up with such a desire to have supra serious writing in RPGs? You had not enough Poe/Numa/other trash taking itself seriously as if they're grand philosophers?

Did any of us say anything when the Admiral from Mass Effect was black?

Merely having a black man as a character isn't bad writing. Putting him there for political reasons, especially obvious modern political reasons, is.

Also, it wasn't much about politiks, but that AB is surprised that in Pathfinder, demon beheads dragon and he meets a fox mage.
If it's not about politics, why mention what you did about a woman being a fighter? Why mention that Dynaheir was black?

It's completely political. Goal post shifting after everything you've said is pretty obvious.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
In order to meet a companion I have to sit through unskippable inane dialogue where my choices do not matter, just so that I can get forced into combat where said companion does not even partake. Of course I'm going to hate the companion, you dumbfucks.

I hate niggers and yet I liked the black ranger in PKM. He was a good character and I very much liked his pragmatical approach to exterminating trolls off the face of the Earth. What's there to like about the niggress? She's retarded and talks more like a redditor than a paladin in a medieval-like setting.

Eh AI on TB is retarded, enemy cultists just stand and cast Negative Energy burst around them with no enemies in range... but who knows maybe it is retarded on real time as well except companion AI all charges into range right away so you don't notice..

Speaking of cutscenes, why couldn't they voice them? Would a few extra lines of dialog have really costed that much?

It's really mind numbing stuff with the floating text dialog bubbles that seems paced for the mentally challenged.

The actual cutscene dialog can be skipped through with a spacebar, but when you're in the world and a character is having an interaction without a full cutscene, you just have to wait.

It is. I ran into this earlier with those weird mouth-head fat undead. They just trigger Negative Energy burst over and over and stand there. Must be a script. Except I kited his friends away from him and killed them, so he's just standing there bursting at nothing.

...mass effect? :M

because I like to press the buttons and see what happens.

either you allow women to be fighters in fantasy, or you allow them to be fighters in fantasy only when it is aesthetically pleasing to you to have a bunch of waifus around, provided they're not too serious as characters. So retarded barbarian girl claiming she can be stronk as men is sjw, but Shar Teel claiming all men are trash is nothing special. If they would make Dynaheir today, she'd get a treatment that DA Inquisition companion get, wouldn't she?
Basically, a good amount of shitposters aren't actually concerned with realism at all - as long as they're the ones who get pampered.
That is hypocrisy.

I liked the black ranger in PKM
the Black Ranger in PKM had probably nothing political about him whatsoever, yet he got treatment not that better than dumb Seelah.

No, AI is poor in general.

Yeah this is Codex so there will always be a strong reaction against anything that can be seen as an egalitarian agenda. At the end of the day PKM is well recieved even here though and I really doubt that will be the case with Wotr as there actually is a pretty strong agenda and shit writing in this game.

Frank Davis sounds very Russian.

Does that matter? He is on the dev team, and they are letting him dictate what can and can't be said on the Steam forum.
I wouldn't be surprised if native Russians are totally prohibited from any community activities. Because if they are sincere SJW they can be bullied in Moscow; and if they are just sincere then the whole game will be bullied by Western SJW's.

Play Black Book if you want a Russian game.

We don't actually know what they thought about these things, as interviews are preciously rare from those times. I found 1 interview with David Gaider from that time, but the questions are very dumb, probably because they were user-submitted. The only interview with Tim Cain I found was a promotional video about Fallout 1, talking about how you can be anyone you want (dangerously close to politics methinks). Given how two of the most popular RPGs at the time, Fallout and the BGs, had non-straight men (Tim Cain and David Gaider) in prominent positions I'd wager a guess that it was something on their mind. Perhaps that's why we got people like Dynaheir and Jaheira (dominant woman in a straight relationship *gasp*). Surprisingly enough, I can't find any outrage about their inclusion either or any controversy surrounding the gay marriage in Fallout 2.

i think we're at a point where if you are adding female character to your game, either she has to be 1) sexy elf slut or 2) disgusting manhater;
because a step any other side and you have shitposters all over you.

We don't actually know what they thought about these things.
David Gaider :M

times were simple, and people didnt consider games to be super important part of their political axis.

Their black people quota was filled by Seelah. The only reason to add more blacks is because they wanted to.
