After playing for a few more hours I am almost done with starting dungeon. Unfortunately it feels a lot like BG2 Irenicus dungeon (too long) but this one is also way less interesting as it is filled with samey rooms full of c/p enemies and nothing else of interest. Also loot is standard lvl 1 trash. I much more enjoyed the much shorter starting "dungeon" from PKM.

I hope they put more effort into later parts of the game. Act 1 in PKM was awesome with variety, options and dungeons. Hopefully this game is opposite and has better later parts.

The combat is ok. It would be better if it was designed as a turn-based game from the start instead of a rtwp abomination that they're inevitably going to slap a turn-based mode onto and call it Enhanced or whatever.

Anyhow, seems that I might want to rethink my character's attribute distribution. I like the whole demon aesthetic, but failing will checks and going berserk at inappropriate times is meh. Guess I'll go for a high STR, high WIS character, plus a few points in CON. Can use both INT and CHA as a dump state (since for intimidation you add your STR modifier anyway) and DEX doesn't have to be that high either.

I click on the arcane pool, nothing happens.

AC is the same, armor stats are the same


I click on the arcane pool of Camellia, I get "Spirit Weapon Enhancement"

I hover the mouse over it to see what it does, tooltip says what what arcane pool does for her class, not what this enhancement actually does.

edit: I activate "perfect strike" on Lann outside of combat, reload, now my character has perfect strike

I always took it that she just gets more powerful as she travels with you and feels no need to whore herself. She's there for her abilities and the stronger she gets the less she'd ever need to sell herself. Plus the devs might have been fine with writing about her past whoredom, but didn't want her to come off as desperate the way Spidergirl here does.

Make no mistake, I'm not simping after Viconia's extremely used negro elf pussy here, but I think she was a far better written character than this eight-legged coward.

Then again, maybe if they had traced her portrait off an old porn photo instead of making her look like she wandered off the set of The Fly, I might have had a better first impression.

Kingmaker's Call of the Wild implemented the Steadfast Personality feat for using your CHA modifier for mind-affecting effects. Did Owlcat not add it in WotR?

Which forces of darkness? There are at least 3 different kinds - Zon-Kuthon (Hellraiser), the Elder Mythos (Lovecraft), and the deities of Hell

Doesn't seem so. Unless the search function for feats is bugged which might very well be knowing Owlcat.

Way too much text in the beginning dungeon. Half the texts, sometimes only a line or two about how NPC feels instead of an opulent describing of what has happened would be much better. RPG writers should have courses on this, really. Long articles should be dedicated to talking to scholars, politics, investigations or evening fireplace talks, discussions on the course of action concerning the whole village etc. Not to appear while confronting a demon with 20 creatures eager to kill each other, not to appear when an NPC shows us a way into a dungeon, not to appear when someone's leg is broken and tries to get free ...that's just meh :D On the other hand, omiting the rampant texting , the situations tend to unfold quite interestingly, there is a feeling of progression to anything right from the beginning. That's a nice one.

Actually, yes. It's her home. She lives there.

I know she's desperate. But does she need to be obvious about it?

Viconia is in a WORSE situation when you rescue her both times: someone is trying to kill her. The entire surface is against her and she can't flee back to the Underdark either. She has no home, no friends, no half-lizard cuck she's milking as a protector/provider. She may very well be killed by the next person who sees her.

And in spite of that, does she suddenly start bowing and scraping before you? Does she call you "master"? No.
