TBH, the songs are more of a cherry on the cake thing than a primary feature of the class. They're good, but I wouldn't choose to go Azata just to take them.

Oh nothing just 12 (or more!) free feats no prereqs everyone keeps fighting dead or alive. Yep pretty ho hum. How do people miss so much?

Do you even understand what the 'cherry on top of the cake' expression means?

Here you go:

Something that makes something that is already good even better, or perfect:
For his career, the Olympic Games would be the cherry on the cake.
He put the cherry on top of the cake by scoring for the third time.
Finding this piece of evidence really was the cherry on the sundae for the prosecution's case.
The garden is not our main reason for buying this house, but it's the cherry on top

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/cherry-on-top-of-the-cake

They are heavily limited by the number of times you can use them in a day, and it's difficult to increase that until late in the game. As I said, best to save for boss battles instead of using them for normal fights.

I would not choose Azata with them primarily in mind because of this. Them, combined with the rest of the class package, makes it excellent.

Wasn’t talking about a song, genius.

Oh, you meant the other superpowers?

When you post vague criticism it can be hard to define your meaning.

Try to make your points clearer in future, genius.

Yeah, they can be good, depending on build. Would still prefer the four I mentioned for a gish, though.

I tested bloodrager interaction with demon in beta and it seems you get demon rage + bloodrage working correctly only for 1 round. The next round causes you to lose rage powers and the +4 bloodrage for lvl 20 bloodrager gets demoted to a +2 rage. I assume it's the case for regular barbarian as well. Also the aspects don't stack with each other in demon rage. Hope this gets fixed for release. No point in playing demon or certainly any barbarian demon if it doesn't get fixed.

EDIT:
Life affirming friendship. Yeah, the free teamwork feats part is probably moot though, as I normally take the teamwork feats I really want on everyone who can get them.

Would prefer this on a Oracle/Cleric to make sure I had breath of life etc. easily on hand.

It works pretty well for overwhelming mage, I won the last boss from beta on hard with a first round 46 dc baleful polymorph, could get it higher apparently
story spoiler:
I read somewhere that you can get a profane pact early from nocticula, I did not confirm tho
and you have a demon spell that gives -2 to saves too, should be able to quicken it if you can find a quicken rod (I haven't seen one)
Shout, Greater and Stormbolts are pretty good too because almost no enemy is immune to stun.

If you get them free you can take something else.

If you take extra ones on your main everyone else gets them all.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
God dammit. I downloaded the stupid beta instead of the game. Auugh.

Pink Eye , looking at the new Monk classes and fallen in love with the quarterstaff master. Always fancied playing a character based around David Carradine in Kung Fu and this particular archetype fits the bill nicely.

BUT- the stats! How should I build him to start? Looks like he needs STR/DEX/WIS and a bit of INT for the CMB feats with him getting free sunder, trip or disarm attempts. As the forums resident monk fanatic, what do you suggest? Forgo STR and go DEX with finesse? I'm never crazy about that really but is it the only way?
>How should I build him to start?
First off. Roll a human. It gives you a free feat - very valuable - and a +2 to attribute. I don't very much like the other races, because I value the extra feat more. Second, I recommend STR based monk over DEX. Reasoning being because DEX takes too many feats to be functional, by the time you do get it to work. It'll still fall behind STR in terms of damage. As for the stats. I'd go for around 17 or 19 STR (I like aiming for 17 STR because it gives me more points to spend into DEX/WIS/CON). Since this is our main attribute we leave it at an odd number. You get a free +1 to stats of your choosing every four levels; up to five, so 17 + 5 = 22. In Pathfinder you get bonuses only at even numbers. For the other attributes: 12-14 CON, Decent DEX/WIS, Dump CHA, Dump INT. The end result will look something like this:
Race: Human
STR: 17
DEX 16
CON 14
INT 7
WIS 16
CHA 7

For feats. It's up to you. Ideally your starting feats will have Dodge, Toughness. Last one can be anything you want.

You specifically said they weren't worth looking at. That's bad advice.

Git gud.

Don't lie, it makes you look stupid and I know you're smart.

I said:
"I think the Superpowers are all very strong and can be picked to boost most classes effectively.

Incredible Might is pretty great for any front liner, especially one who wants to land iterative attacks.

Marvelous Endurance is just awesome.

Favourable Magic is also top tier for a caster, Zappy spells is OK, but not as good in my opinion.

The others would work well for different classes, but I think the one's I've mentioned are the best of the bunch."

I was talking specifically about those that would be useful during the topic we were on, ie the gish build.

Yes, but I can only take two superpowers. I would prefer not to take that one for a gish build more than I would worry about spending feats. There are more slots for a couple of teamwork feats on the companions that I need them on than there are spaces for superpowers on the main character.

If I wasted less time playing while I was a kid I could've played more today... damn, I hate yesterday me, always passing me shit to do. :argh:
Dunno if it'd have the same appeal. I feel like I've lost the sense of immersion that I had as a kid, whether we're talking about playing vidya or being captivated by a movie or some other activity. Gaming is still enjoyable, but I can't just block off all surrounding stimuli and have that sort of peak tunnel vision that I once had.
