How are the loading times on the 1.1 beta? Unchanged? Better/worse?

Also beware of black market goods

650BP for fucking generic +5 weapon with no special ability? meh.

The main menu initial load is much faster.
The game loading itself is faster for some, not much faster for others. Loading throne room is still as annoying as ever.

Is this a bug that there is no road here, or do you just need inhumanly high Perception to spot it?

Same thing happened to me with Brineheart - appeared on the map, but no road to it.

Frankly, I wish I had just missed the game and discovered it during some Christmas sale. 2019 one, that is.

Edit: ok I think I see what you're getting at. You mean the Strength-focused nature of some Intimidation abilities/feats runs in opposition to the Thug's dexterity focus.

Well, you don't HAVE to take Cornugon/Intimidating Prowess. Strength is just more intimidating than Dex. Meh.
Yeah. But... what's the point then. Feels like you best leave it at like Thug 4 dip and level as a Fighter. Thought there would be some sort of beat them up ability to apply the actual bonus like https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/enforcer-combat/

That's the issue, isn't it? If you want to make use of the frightening of thug, you need use dazzling display or cornugon smash. The only question is - to which I don't know the answer - is whether you can get high enough intimidate without intimidation prowess/going for strength build. If you can, then going DEX is the better route, but I'd probably go for strength to be sure. Besides it also makes sense role-playing wise (yeah, I know... larping) - a "thug" is not someone I imagine being into finesse much. Strong, brutish and intimidating sounds correct. And mechanically it should work well enough so I'd go with a STR based thug, but that's me.

To be fair, while it's easy to default to the idea of rogues being Dex-based, a Str-based rogue in PF:K isn't going to have a bad time by any stretch of the imagination. Rogues don't really need to rely on any Dex-based aspects in PF:K, and is perfectly well off without things like Stealth. I'd throw in a level of fighter or maybe even four and go to town as a Thug. As a half-orc, of course.

Whoops, now my rest menu while traveling disappeared. As in, when you hit "rest" no menu appears.

And how in the world is that supposed to be possible?

Let's say we top out at a Dex score of 36. That's +13 AC from Dex alone, +4-5 from Mage Armor/Bracers.

How could a strength build possibly compete? You can slap some +2 plate on there, and maybe a tower shield, I guess? But... eh, that's neither very roguish nor thuggish, is it?

I don't understand how Strength is giving you any AC at all.

You need Ekun and another dedicated archer to make use of this "feature".

Focusing Dex over Strength gives you, say, an extra +2, maybe +3 AC. Another 5 points from levelling grants you another 2-3. So it's about 6 AC at the most, unless you're really desperate for attribute points.

Everything else can be done exactly the same on a Strength build. Also, with the feat you save from not getting Weapon Finesse, you could get Dodge, which lessens the gap between the two.

I didn't give Valerie Intimidating Presence but she still has a good Intimidate rate. There are a bunch of items that boost Intimidate, too, like the Paragon Defender helmet.

Please do the math for me, this doesn't seem to add up. Just give me a Strength and a Dex build and do the AC calculations with me.

Also 6 AC is extremely massive, but forget about that for now. I am just thinking you might be missing something - or I am - so I would like us to do the math so we can see who is missing something and what.

It's simple, the only thing that makes a strength and dex build different is the points that you put into it at character creation, and then the level up points every 4 levels.

If you're desperate for points to put elsewhere then yeah, it could add up to 10 I suppose. But it won't always be that much.
