As i wrote i haven't played tabletop games so it might feel fine on such a setting. However FWIW i do not remember anything like that in the DnD-based computer games i have played
Trolls collapsing and having 100% immunity to everything other than fire or acid was a thing in baldur's gate/icewind dale games.

Honestly never knew about the coup de grace thing. Well, I think I've heard about it before but I've always forgotten about it by the time I've run across an enemy like that. But what I do is keep at least one weapon with every damage type or ability in the packs.

So, i tried the Coup de grace and the dragon fell, nice to see that there was a way. On the other hand now the fight was way less "epic" as my characters are more powerful :-P.

But TBH even after trying it, it still took me a while to understand the info text and if it wasn't skaraher's comment i wouldn't realize what "helpless" means. Actually i just searched and found this wiki page which includes other meanings too. Couldn't the game have that sort of information in an in-game manual or something?

But what I do is keep at least one weapon with every damage type or ability in the packs.

I do have a variety of damage types in throwables, scrolls and wands, it just didn't notice that there are different material types for weapons too and the game hadn't requested that so far. It wasn't until after i encountered the dragon that i started paying attention to the drop item materials but i haven't found anything non-standard so far.

And yeah you can CdG the trolls too. Tbf they added it in a long time after release

I tried an earlier save when branded trolls were around and couldn't kill them with Coup de grace. However it was a very early save, right before the first "random" encounter with trolls where the game teaches you you can kill them with acid and i couldn't kill the regular trolls with normal attacks either (which i could later in the game, i just dont have a save from there). I remember trolls being a bit of pushovers by the end of that questline so my characters were probably not strong enough yet (or the fake random encounter had them tweaked to be killable only with fire and acid to teach the player about that, i didn't try another encounter).

They can definitely be killed with CdG, but they likely have strong fortitude saves.

Yeah i believe you, i just didn't try beyond that fake random encounter that pits some trolls against some bandits with one of the bandits throwing acid at the branded troll. I repeated this encounter 3-4 times to avoid both my party getting killed and having the bandits kill the branded troll so i can incapacitate every troll and try the move on the branded troll so after seeing the move fail a few times i lost interest and thought that my characters were not up to the task at that point.

Because even though you're playing in RTwP, everything is happening in 6 second rounds. If one character has higher initiative than the other, he starts his action sooner.

Initiative basically adds a delay before your first action in RTwP. Not sure how it works but I'd guess that the highest initiative goes immediately, the lowest gets the full 6 second wait, while the others get a linear delay depending on where they are between the two extremes of initiative rolls.

Just checked the wiki and noticed that you can romance the orc cuck and his whore but not Amiri.. This game is a masochistic experience in all aspects!

I didn't realize romances are a thing in this game but considering Amiri's personality, are you sure you'd want to romance her? Chances are she'd stop midsex to tell you she can do it better than you*.

*=assuming you're playing with a male character

Come back once you finish it, I'd be curious to hear your opinion about its endgame.

Well, it's been almost a month but I'm finally back in this thread. My trip to the Abyss was longer than expected.

Loved every minute of the endgame in Wrath. Cannot compare it to Kingmaker. Where Kingmaker was overstaying it's welcome by more than a chapter, Wrath had timed everything so good that I was wondering if there would be enough to satisfy my wants.

I didn't even see that many encounters in Act 5. Or trash mob fights for that matter. What were the complaints about Wrath's endgame again? Seems to me it's running circles around Kingmaker.

Yes, I'm very confused myself. I'll watch a playthrough on Unfair or some of the other higher difficulties. Getting the feeling I got off easy there.

I loved every second in the Abyss. It baffles me that there are people who've quit the game when reaching it. But how, why? The Abyss is one of the best parts in the Pathfinder series.

Maybe they haven't tried to beat The House at the Edge of Time before. Then they would have loved the Abyss. Mayhaps they would even want to live in it.

Abyss is cool first time through. 2nd playthrough and on it tends to drag, being a bunch of fetch quests in a city with intentionally annoying navigation

You can actually complete abyss in 4-5 hours easly even with skipping secret shits and companion quests. Act 5 feels much more draggy for me but it can be completed quickly too at least.

I really liked the Abyss on my first playthrough but when I was over the 'wow' factor on subsequent ones and knew where everything was I just zipped around using the teleport function on Toybox

Yeah, the Crusade management slows things down exponentiality. The real question is if they are going to remove it completely or if 3rd time's gonna do it.

Do random encounters improve with time? Going through loading screens only to fight like 3 kobolds is tiresome
If you don't have an SSD, abandon all hope and despair. *Edit. Sorry, I misunderstood your question. Random encounters don't offer much, but they aren't common after Act I. Kobolds, some trolls, and various predatory animals. They don't come up often, and go away once you develop territories. I barely got any. I think the chance goes down 50% when the land is claimed and then vanishes once you build a settlement.
